The elegant Mijas Hotel is situated in the white village of Mijas, one of the prettiest in southern Spain, and offers stunning views of the coastline and the Mediterranean. In a traditional Andalusian style with a very calm and relaxed atmosphere, the hotel has been totally refurbished to high standards, with large lounges, terraces and patios.

“ Hotel very nice and very clean but could do with a few extras like coffee /tea making facilites in room and a fridge as standard,not to have to pay extra for them.There was no entertainment at all which was a bit disappointing. The view from our room was lovely and the location was very peaceful.

OK, but suits the older style of clientele who like 80's decor, who have been taking a certain type of 'package deal' for the past 30 years.
Area is full of tourists who tend to be couples not talking to anybody else. They carry large overstuffed suitcases, worried expressions, and do not appear adventurous, animated or spontaneous.
Although the pool looks fine in the photo, in reality it is in quite a closed space. You end up surrounded by people in close proximity lying on sunbeds, with a central pool nobody really uses.
Internet access is very expensive, at 1 euro for twenty minutes.
The best part, however, was the excellent food. Full marks to the chef- I loved the food. Dining room was large enough for the lone diner to be able to find a quiet corner.
“ Top Tip: Bus stop is close to the hotel, bringing you directly to Fuengirola.
