“ I went to this hotel with my husband and my cousin for a relaxing break and didn't want to have any discussion about where and when to eat so picked the AI. First time we have been AI and although it was excellent value for money the downside was, and this is a fault on our part, we couldn't resist having three meals and sometimes three courses!!! There was a good choice but each day seemed to serve the same food so after a week it became a bit samey. We went in mid April so the hotel wasn't full so it was fairly quiet - apart from two morning when we were woken by work being carried out on the patio tiling on the next apartment to ours. We did complain and were immediately offered a different room but as we were only there for a week we didn't want the hassle of moving. The hotel staff arranged for the workmen to start a bit later the second night but it was still earlier than they had said (8.45ish). We weren't particularly impressed with the standard of the evening entertainment (not keen on magicians and illusionists) and did think there would be more opportunity (and a bigger dance floor) for some kind of evening dance but this wasn't the case. One night the entertainment was excellent a comedy drag act called Diamonds are Forever, this was really funny and entertaining. It must be borne in mind however that it was early in the season when we stayed so maybe it might be a bit different later in the year. Every member of the hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. However I was sure it stated that there were 1 or 2 changed of bed linen per week but this wasn't the case, although there was as many change of towels as you wanted. The place was a little dated in parts, particularly the room we had - we had requested a low floor as neither my cousin or I like lifts - and we were given a garden apartment which had absolutely amazinv views over the sea. My husband and I did look at another apartment for any further visits we might do and that room was more up to date. That said the room was clean and we didn't have any problem with mosquitos but there were a few ants in the kitchen area. We would all visit this hotel again although it is a little way out of Nerja centre but my husband and I walked into the town and apparently there is a regular bus service. Our holiday achieved what we wanted it we all came away thoroughly relaxed if a little 'rounder' after eating too much!!! We were also sent a bowl of fruit and a bottle of champaigne for the inconvenience of the early morning noise, which was nice and my cousin was given another bottle as it was her birthday during our stay.
“ Top Tip: Yes, as it was my cousin's birthday during our stay we decided to look at the nearby restuarant for a change. We found a lovely place, not particularly cheap but not too expensive either. It was called "First" lovely ambience, the chef was German and the food was absolutely amazing, never tasted fillet steak like it before and the battered strawberries filled with marzipan were amazing too. Would certainly go back there again.

Just returned from a good holiday at the Marinas De Nerja Beach Hotel. Lots of sunshine but very windy! (apparently this is usual for April )Excellent hotel, clean, good service, friendly staff.Good location on the beach, a 25min walk along the beach to resort centre or 5mins bus ride.Bus stop outside hotel.Weekends were rather busy with Spanish families taking a break. Entertainment extremely good with Flemenco dancers ,Singers, Magic shows etc.Food very good & plentiful ,the chefs always very obliging & extremely busy cooking in front of the guests.
Unfortunately I found it rather disconcerting to see the chefs handling raw fish & raw meat & then carving the cooked joints without washing or changing their gloves !We came home with no "tummy bug" but others may not be so fortunate.
“ Top Tip: Frigiliana village & Nerja caves worth a visit
