“ A great walking holiday! Stayed 19-25th April after 3 day visit to Granada.

Have had a lovely time at the Nerja Club after a break of 3 years since we last stayed there. We certainly approve of all the changes e.g. terrace area, the spa + fitness centre (which we did not use as out walking every day then relaxing and reading in the sun afterwards), the wider lunch menu etc.

We have returned to this hotel many times in the past as we find it comfortable with a calm, pleasant atmosphere at this time of year. The rooms are very clean, all with balconies (sizes vary) with fine views. It feels like home from home.

We are more than happy with the range of food on offer. This has improved since our last visit with a wider range of fruit e.g. dried, fresh pineapple etc and a good choice of cooked food, cheese, cold meat and breads etc. Spoilt for choice in fact. For dinner there is a good range of salads (our favourite), choice of fish chicken, meat and a pasta dish. The choice of desserts has increased slightly and for the price we paid for half board this all represents very good value.

The hotel is situated away fron the town centre (15min walk) and we find it the PERFECT location + starting point for the many fabulous walks of varying levels in the immediate area. It's easy to access the starting points of longer more strenuous hikes. Guided walks are available locally but have never used them. The lovely manager, Antonio, a keen walker himself is a good source of advice and information.

We would describe the staff as reserved but very obliging. They are always kept busy but are friendly and efficient. Looking forward to another visit next Spring with more walking friends.

“ Top Tip: For walkers- easy walk to Maro Tower and tasty lunch on return at cafe in front square of Maro overlooking the sea = a perfect day.

Take bus up to Frigliana, head up to remains of moorish castle, work way down exploring beautiful, paved and winding streets + return to Nerja by fantastic river/gorge walk- accessed at side of EL Bar Virtudes - medium level walk = another perfect day!

“ The hotel is immaculately clean and modern. My room overlooked a delightful pool although the balcony area was just big enough for a single person. The bedroom furnishings and bathroom fittings were up to date and well kept. My room was cleaned daily and bedding was changed regularly. Breakfast gave a varied choice of options and the dining area was spacious and light. On every evening guests were entertained by a medley of artists: the standard was pretty high. The bar area and lounge were very comfotable with enough space for everyone. All in all I enjoyed my stay with the Nerja Club Hotel and would stay again. If there is a downside it is the thirty minute walk to reach the beaches and restaurants. Mind you this is excellent exercise to walk off any excess tapas!!

“ Top Tip: Visit the Nerja Caves . They are a half hour gentle stroll out of town and are fabulous. I can only think that Gaudi visited these caves and gained inspiration for his fantastic Cathedral in Barcelona.
