Plaza Cavana Hotel

“ Second stay at this hotel, staff friendly and efficient. Location superb, right in the centre of Nerja will definitely be back next year God willing.

“ Top Tip: The tapas bar by the church is excellent value for money at 1 euro each and an English owned restaurant 'The Cottage' superb food at low prices.For the ladies the shop next to the Hotel Plaza Cavana called 'Dia y Noche' gives 10% discount to hotel residents.

“ Rooms very clean. Great location. Staff helpful. Lovely rooftop pool and sun lounging area.

Didn't eat or drink in the hotel so can't comment on that.

Indoor pool area looked nice but the jacuzzi and sauna is way over priced.

Would stay here again and would recommend it to others.

“ A very friendly, 'family run' hotel right in the heart of 'old town' Nerja surrounded by bars, restaurants, cafes and nightlife areas at hand. It is much better than many of the other 3 star hotels we have encountered in our travels, well appointed and very comfortable.I believe that this rating cap is solely on thefact that the lifts do not access every level, ie there are odd small flights of steps to be negotiated, (but I have just coped after a double hip-op and still walking with sticks) It has a bar and restaurant on the ground level and a Terrace Snack bar/bar up on the roof next to the open air pool and sunbathing area. There is also an indoor pool for residents use in the downstairs area next to the breakfast room. We have used the Plaza Cavana often and see many other regular users there too. A recommendation in itself

“ Top Tip: An excellent Family run hotel situated at the heart of old Nerja, surrounded by bars and restaurants none of which were 'poor'. Being B&B at the hotel we ventured out most nights to eat but used the (Menu del Dia) the low cost, fixed price 3 course menu that all restaurants are meant to offer in Spain, at the hotel itself. Good quality and fair selection for just €10 pp. 3 other eating places to mention especially by name are El Refugio, just 100 meters to the right on leaving the main entrance of the hotel along the main roadway 'Calle Disputacion'. Some excellent Spanish food at reasonable prices. Jesus (pronounced ' heysoos') the young manager, presented freshly caught fish at the table for your choice- not priced on the menu- just €11 for a whole sea bass. The majority of eating places are off to the left on leaving the hotel, all within walking distance. Notable here were Rey Alphonso the restaurant under the end of the Balcon de Europe itself, stunning views out to sea and excellent food. La Taberna, opposite the Post Office, at the beginning of a whole string of eaterys good Spanish Cookery and Tapas, with El  Portico slightly up the slope on left at the other end of this street also good Spanish food well served. For Tapas itself- Biz Nega right outside the Church, excellent selection at just €1 each. On our final night we discovered El Candil, in the small square at the foot of the Balcon, would certainly visit there again!! Hope others come to love Nerja as much as we have!
