This is not a four star hotel, the rooms are very "tired" and need decorating. The showers did not work very well and the water was cold most of the time.
The food was below average quality and cold with little variety. The one good thing about the hotel was the staff, they were always helpful and pleasent.
The "all inclusive" rate is not worth the money

Top Tip: Across the road from the hotel were beach bars which served very good food

Our room was unclean with ants running everywhere.

Our sheets weren't changed despite there being marks (children can be dirty!).

The room was generally unkept with cracks in the tiles, dust etc.

The self-catering 'facilities' looked like something from the 1970s - there was no way we could use the hob or toaster.

The door to the balcony was broken so we had to ask for this to be fixed.

The balcony was too small for 4 people - we couldn't all sit around the table at the same time - we would had to have all sat in a line(!) so we couldn't use it.

This hotel caters more, I think, for the all-inclusive guests. It needs a major revamp to modernise its self-catering rooms. It is not what you would expect from a four-star hotel - and definetely not worth the money that we paid for it. We won't stay there again.

Top Tip: It is a fair trek to the town centre, especially in the heat - make use of the train to get there instead. The Los Alamos train station is 5 minutes' walk from the hotel.

Stayed in the apartments which were ok. booked two apartments with seperate bedrooms (group of 4 & group of 3). The reception tried to place the party of 3 into a studio flat, even though we had paid for a bedded apartment. had to stay in studio the 1st night as they said they were no more available, and to come back at 8.00am. In the morning I had to insist on getting what I had paid for, they then gave me an apartment next to the other one, which had been empty all along. no lifts in apartment blocks. so if no good with stairs need to book ground floor.
After our first night hiccup, we had an enjoyable stay. plenty of beds around the pool and does not open until 9.00am. We never got to the pool until around 11.30 so it was a nice change to still be able to get a bed. The main restaurants were a good 10 minute walk away. San Miguel is the best area to head for with lots shops and restaurants. Best to get a taxi there approx 9 euros as there is a steep hill to walk up. easier walking back = down hill. approx 15 minute walk. Good Beach right outside just across the road. beds = 4 euros.
