“ Top Tip: Efficient and Clean. Very helpful staff. If you have a room with a sea view at the front/side, be aware that there is a night club on the beach fairly close by and it can be a little noisy.

“ Arrived late Wednesday evening [13 September] to a very pleasant welcome by one of the receptionists [Jose] even greeted me by my first name - a very good impression, said we could go straight into the dining room as dinner was still being served.
We stayed in the Beach Club's sister hotel twice earlier in the year Griego which we would have gone to again but it is a long way from the beach and was really impressed with the food there and thought the Beach Club would be on the same standards. Not so I'm afraid, there was very little choice, loads of frozen sprouts, cold chips and really nothing inviting at all. The breakfasts were bland with food swimming in oil. We didn't know until we had booked that the hotel was due to close for renovation [this week] but they should have not have left standards slip as we were paying guests and expected better that this. The hotel is definitely in need of refurbishment, very dated and dirty. There was rubbish thrown about on the steps and not cleaned up, there were cigarette ends thrown all around the external areas particularly around the swimming pool. We sat and had a coffee round there after breakfasts and same cig ends plus more were not cleaned up. The windows/doors were dirty with finger marks all over them and were there for the duration of our trip. We began to wonder what the kitchen was like!!!
Entertainment was bearable at least it was in English.
Overall a filthy, dirty hotel. Would not stay here again even when the refurbishment has been completed.
A positive side to was the staff who were very pleasant and polite. The staff is the only good thing about this hotel.

“ Top Tip: A smashing beach bar directly across the road which has a special little garden area on the beach, with relaxing chilled music and comfy settees.

“ Stayed at this hotel with my husband and sister from 6th - 11th November. Had maid service every day which was great. Entertainment on every night along with a free game of bingo. This is the fourth time at this hotel for myself and sister and third time for my husband and we all found the food very poor. Breakfast was lovely but the lunch, dinner and snacks were all very poor. There was very little to choose from and it was a struggle to find spomething you liked. We had all been to this hotel before and one of the reasons we all went back was because we always found the food very good We complained to the restaurant manager who agreed with us telling us there was a new chef who had only been there for 10 days!! He also told us he had had other complaints!! All the guests we spoke to agreed the food was very poor. We told the manager we would never return to this hotel.He gave us a form to fill in and told us to write down our complaints and said someone would reply in due course. He also told us the hotel was closing down mid November and reopening in February as a four star. Extensive refurbishment is planned and he asked us to give it another chance as by law they have to have 3 chefs as a four star. We have no plans to return any time soon as we feel let down. Some nights we did not know what we were eating as there were no labels on food!!! We had been the Griego Mar Hotel the previous month which was also three star rated and found the food very good.

“ Top Tip: There is a bus stop right outside the hotel number L2 which takes you right to the centre of Torromolinos. It stops at the bus station where you can pick up buses to other destinations. Try Mijas which is a lovely village up in the mountains. Another bus that stops right outside the hotel is the number 123 which takes you to Benalmedena. If you are an animal lover you must try Paloma Park in Benalmedena. It is packed full of swans, geese, ducks,hens and many more birds. There are also rabbits. All these animals roam around freely and follow you around. Remember to take as much bread as you can and also some carrots!!!
