The Sol Los Fenicios hotel is located right on La Herradura beach in a wonderful, tropical setting in the small town of La Herradura, 5 minutes from the city of Almuñecar (Granada), 79 km from Granada airport and 35 min. from Malaga airport.

Hotel almost on beach with excellent outdoor pool on roof.Wide choice of good food at breakfast,served by friendly attentive staff.
My wife needed medical treatment and the reception staff arranged taxis to the medical centre in a friendly and efficient manner.
we highly recommended this excellent hotel

“ We really enjoyed our stay here. The staff are extremely helpful and friendly and nothing is too much trouble for the manager. Breakfast on the terrace was a great way to start each day watching the world go by. This was one of our most relaxing and enjoyable holidays.
“ Top Tip: The Beach Restaurant across the road served very good fish dishes and had local flamenco dancers entertaining in the centre of the outside section of the restaurant. Definately would go there again.

Although Los Fenicios belongs to the big Sol Melia hotel group it is small and very good.
Wonderful staff and charming management make it one of the best hotels I have ever stayed in. The position on La Herradurra beach is postcard perfect. Breakfast on the terrace in the soft early morning sunshine. Birds and small fishing boats provide entertainment. Loads to do in town. The Alhambra is only an hour away but you need to book a slot in advance to appreciate it.
I took my 85 year old parents this year having stayed last year a deux with my husband. They loved it and the hotel were lovely with them, helpful but discreet service and very attentive. I could safely leave them there and go off for the day or a few hours.
Stylish, sophisticated and charming with out being snotty. Perfect.

Top Tip:
The Gaviota along the beach serves perfect fresh fish in a lovely atmosphere. As good as the beach restaurants in Montpelier.

“ We had a wonderful time. The hotel was clean. The staff were absolutely charming and really helpful. The garden in the centre of the hotel was a beautiful feature. La Herradura is a little gem along the Costa Tropical. It is less hectic, with a slower pace than other places along that coast, but that is part of its charm.
“ Top Tip: The beach restaurant directly opposite the hotel (sorry, can't remember the name - think it is something like Joaquin) was excellent. The seafood was delicious; in particular the fresh lobster.

Try any one of the beach bars/restaurants and watch the sun set over the headland.
