Ciudad Encantada Hostel

Renovated in 2005, the hotel features typical regional architecture, wood panelling, characteristic wood balconies, French roofs, rustic details, and offers peace and quiet in addition to good hospitality. There is a cafe with outside terrace and table service, a boutique with regional products, and a restaurant serving local cuisine and tourist menus. Guests may hire audiovisual equipment, buses or private microbuses. The complex with 28 rooms also has a lobby area with a reception desk manned around the clock as well as conference facilities and a parking garage for those arriving by car. The nearest town centre is around 6 km away, and it is approximately 28 km to the bus and railway station.The rooms are cosy and welcoming and all come with an en suite bathroom, a direct dial telephone, a TV, heating, a double bed, and a terrace. Due to its position amidst mountains, air conditioning is not necessary.The surrounding area is ideal for those wishing to try out a range of mountain sports (canoeing, hiking, canyoning, riding, gliding) or make private or group excursions to Cuenca. Guests are offered extensive information on routes and excursions into the Cuenca mountains.Road CM 2104 KM-19-If you are on the N-400 (road from Madrid to Cuenca)one kilometre before Cuenca you should take the road CM-2110 Direction Tragacete - Ciudad Encantada. Follow the road past the population Villalba de la Sierra. Following that road for about 9 km, you find the diversion to Ciudad Encantada. You shoud take that diversion and drive straight ahead for about 5 0r six kilometres. If you come from other roads, from Cuenca, take the road CM-2105 going to Tragacete-Ciudad Encantada, go ahead for 6 km and then take the diversion in the direction Valdecabras , CM-2104, follow this road but Do not enter the village called Valdecabras . Instead go ahead and you will find the hostel located at Km 19 (CM- 2104 or road Valdecabras right in the area of The Enchanted City )
