This hotel was quite lovely as in how all the rooms face on to the pool, a proper little sun trap, the pool was freezing but very refreshing. The hotel itself is out in the sticks a little and there isnt much surrounding it in the form of pubs, restaurants etc, but a 25 min walk away along the coastal path you can be in Caleta de fuste where there is much more to do.
The hotel was A/I which to be honest i didnt go hungry or go without a drink but your choices were very limited, only perhaps 2 choices for you main meal, not much in the dessert form and absolutely no wine at all in the establishment, only 5 different spirits and one beer choice, the staff were lovely and really try to make the most of what quite obviously for them is limited stock, this hotel has recently been taken over and i think that if the new manager gives this place a little cash injection and a little touch up here and there it could be a little gold mine, the people i met there made our holiday, a big hello to Barry & Mary, Keith & Wendy, Brian ( team leader ) & Linda, also barmen Alejandro & Antos and not forgetting Jony the entertainer, a really nice bloke
“ Top Tip: Aberdeen steak house in Caleta, 7.95 euro for a 3 course meal and 10 euro for a bottle of house red, you can get a breakfast for as little as 1.90 euro, dont forget to buy monkey nuts to feed the chipmunks along the coastal path, they are sooooooooo cute

“ It is a shame as this hotel is in trouble financially. All rooms are pool facing with the majority of them having the sun all day. The rooms are very spacious. If you select a downstairs room they are brilliant as you walk out of your patio door & can have sunbeds literally on your doorstep. If you prefer you can lie around the pool of which is quite a large pool with lots of space around it for the sun loungers. The food is poor as there isnt a great selection. Breakfast is the best meal of the day as you cant go wrong with a full English.....can you? Or cereal if preferred. Antonio who works the reception is very, very helpful and will do anything he can for you if you have a problem or require any information. Its approximately a 30 minute walk along the front into Calleta de Fuste which is the nearest town and has plenty of restaurants and a few shops. The Elba hotel which is a 5-10 minute walk away supply a free bus into Calleta if preferred. If its evening entertainment that you require this isnt the hotel for you as at the moment they dont have any. What you must remember is that as the saying goes 'you only get what you pay for' and as this is a cheap hotel dont expect 5*. I genuinely hope that this hotel is still open and in business in September as hopefully all the family (6 adults) will be going back.

Not a wise choice.
The hotel was experiencing a power cut when we arrived, but it only affected certain rooms?? We arrived at 12pm and couldn't get a drink or anything to eat until after 9pm.The hotel constantly ran out of drinks for up to 3 days at a time and at one stage couldn't even give water for you to drink or ice cubes for your drinks.
The pool bar should open at 10am and close at 5pm, this doesn't happen on a regular basis. It opens late, shuts early and when it's snack time at 4pm, only has a limited number of either hot dogs or beefburgers, not both and not enough for everyone, strictly first come first served basis.
We had no linen change all week, 1 towel change and 2 cleans but one was less than 24 hours before we checked out!
The food was very poor and cold unless you got there at 6.30pm when the dining hall opened but then the meat ran out! The table cloths on the tables were dirty when we arrived and were not changed all week.
The wine in the restaurant was out of stock or the machine was out of order with a scarf wrapped around it.
Entertainment in the day was OK. Andreas really tried to encourage and include everyone but he leaves the hotel next week (end of February). Night time entertainment consisted of a snake show one night, a quiz another night and then one night we actually had a darts comp, pool comp and a game of bingo....feast or famine springs to mind.

Top Tip:
Mustang Sally's a bar around the corner was very nice.
A large taxi for our party of 6 cost less than 5 Euro into Calletta, so good value but the coastal walk to see the chipmonks is very nice but you just have to watch out for the rats that live with the chipmonks.

“ the girl on reception was very pleasant when we checked in went to room clean large room fittings to cupboards in kitchen area need updating all the staff were friendly good range of drinks at pool bar was looking forward to a good week at the start of the week breakfast was good had chicken beef pork pasta ect at meal times however during the week we woke one morning to find they had sacked both bar men one of the cleaners and the receptionist had been given notice the managers sons took over the bar work neither of them wanted to be there as was proved by their frequent wanderings back to their rooms so we served ourselves although there were not very many guests the animation guy tried to get everyone involved shooting darts pool bowls tennis quiz bingo a thankless job at the best of times at night in the bar certain drinks were mostly water you just found one that was ok and stuck to it we went through the no electric faze only one day not a problem went into town to eat . the food did get worse as the week went on the managers and staff that were left tried to do everything possible to make everyone happy and were obviously getting no support from the hotel owners with a little t.l.c this could be a good little complex top marks to managers and staff for trying.
“ Top Tip: irish bar round corner good food entertainment at night . if you go into town aberdeen steakhouse 3 courses 9 euros very very good steaks dont be put off by price
