The hotel was very clean and the majority of staff were very friendly. It was a bit difficult for us as we were the only English people staying there but we did not mind mixing in with the German and the Italian people although there was quite a language barrier.

The food wasn't too bad but not that good for a supposed four star hotel. The entertainment was also very tacky.

My biggest complaint was that it was advertised that English TV was broadcast and the only channels in English were Eurosport and CNN (American!). Not too sure about the electrical maintenance either - our TV and fridge sockets blew and after the maintenance man had corrected this, the socket was hanging off the wall.

Good value all inclusive hotel. Food good. Right on beach. Quiet resort.

Top Tip: A trip to Punta Jandia, the southern tip of the island is a must.

As a lone female I was concerned about choosing the right hotel, and was very happy with my selection. The staff are more than happy to assist (apart from one bar person who chose not to acknowledge me yet did acknowledge others nearby. I don't know if this was because I'm English, female travelling alone or they just did not like me), other than this one person I felt everyone else was there to make my stay enjoyable. Top marks though have to go to the maid. There was a welcome note awaiting me from Pino, who had prepared my room, hoping I had a pleasant stay. I regularly holiday in 4/5* AI hotels and my room in this was was the cleanest I have ever had. Considering I would return to my room shortly after dinner, it was very important to me that my room be clean and comfortable. The only strange thing I encountered, and I can't say if this is hotel policy or perhaps a game the barstaff may have: but I would request a cocktail after dinner, the first time I did this the barman asked me if I wished to have alcohol in it (???? I'm 49!) the next night I was served with an already made-up children's cocktail and I had to request alcohol. The next night was the same, but with a different barman. However, on my last night, when I walked into the bar Nelson was preparing a cocktail. When I saw it I thought "mmmm, I'll have to ask for one of those" and he then proceeded to place it in front of me. It would have been rude not to have enjoyed another so on my next one he made it a bit more colourful. It was a very nice end to my holiday and made me feel very comfortable. Overall, the staff were lovely, the hotel very clean. There were a couple of restaurants within 300m, but don't expect a busy town because it just is not happening. It is a lovely spot for a quiet, relaxing holiday. Populated mainly by couples but no one would feel excluded. I would visit this hotel again.

STANDARD SPANISH ALL INCLUSIVE .
FINE FOR A WEEK AWAY.
VERY AVERAGE IN MY HUMBLE OPINION.
PRICE OK WHEN I WENT. UP NEARLY FIFTY PER CENT FOR THE FOLLOWING WEEK AND NOT WORTH THE UNJUSTIFIED MASSIVE INCREASE

Top Tip: THE BEACH IS WHY YOU GO THERE.
NOT A GREAT DEAL TO GET EXCITED ABOUT BESIDES THE SANDY STUFF

FAWLTY TOWERS LIVES !!!
I HAVE BEEN TO THIS HOTEL AROUND TEN TIMES, BUT EACH STAY IS UNPREDICTABLE.
PLEASE NOTE THAT THE MANAGEMENT AND STAFF SUPERVISION AT THIS HOTEL IS NON EXISTENT.
THIS TIME I HAD THE RESTAURANT CLEANER SWEEPING UP A MOUND OF AROUND SIX MONTHS RUBBISH AT A CORNER IN THE RESTAURANT FIVE MINUTES BEFORE CLOSING TIME VERY CLOSE TO WHERE I WAS EATING, AND I SMELT AND TASTED THE DUST AS I WAS EATING MY FOOD.....AND THIS WAS DONE DELIBERATELY WITH INTENT TO ANNOY.
THEN THE FOLLOWING DAY, AND I SWEAR IT WAS THE SAME WOMAN, THIS TIME AS THE SATURDAY RELIEF ROOM CLEANER, SHE BURST INTO MY ROOM AT 9:30AM, AND THE ROOM WAS DOUBLE LOCKED FROM THE INSIDE, SHE SHOUTED "BUENOS TARDES" (GOOD AFTERNOON) WITH ME HALF NAKED IN BED!!!
THAT SAID, THE ABOVE INCIDENTS, ADD COLOUR TO A WEEKS STAY AND I HAVE BOOKED UP AGAIN FOR THE LOCATION AND VALUE FOR MONEY !!

Top Tip: YOU TAKE THIS HOTEL AS YOU FIND IT.
LIKE SOME OF THE HOTELS AROUND THE COSTA CALMA THE QUALITY IS VARIABLE ON A WEEKLY OR MONTHLY BASIS, AND I BELIEVE THAT COSTA CALMA RESORT AS A WHOLE HAS HAD ITS BEST DAYS BEHIND IT. IT IS NOW BECOMING OVER CAPACITATED AND VERY TIRED IN PLACES (THIS HOTEL DATES BACK FROM AROUND 1980 AND STILL HAS LIFT INSPECTION STICKERS DATED 1995 AND 1998 !!). NEVERTHELESS FOR A WEEK AWAY FROM THE SNOW IN GREAT BRITAIN FUERTEVENTURA IS ALWAYS WORTH A VISIT.....AND THERE ARE WORSE HOTELS THAN THIS ON THE ISLAND.
THE BEACH IS ALSO AT THE REAR OF THE HOTEL
