Cotillo Beach Hotel

“ Overall the hotel is good but not sound proof and needs little maintenance. You can hear the next door people talking or snoring. Everyday the swimming pool is cleaned. The room was clean.

“ Loved this hotel - especially for a winter relaxing break. Lovely rooms and friendly, helpful staff (although not many of them). Not a lot of entertainment - Clare is the entire entertainment team and she does a good job, but we went with friends and we made our own entertainment. Food is simple and enough of it - not the best food I have had on all inclusive, but very good for the price we paid. We loved the small town because it was sleepy and Spanish and not overrun by tourists. We all said we would definitely go back, but not in summer - much better as a winter break. Weather was good too. All in all a lovely holiday.

“ Top Tip: Worth a walk to the beaches - especially the small coves to the right of the hotel - and loved the little harbour.

“ For three star hotel, we really can't complain. Rooms decent, all of them with balconies, most of them with pool view which is rather nice, bathrooms nice with plenty of hot water. Pool area is in the middle of complex, with very well looked after plants and palm trees which makes a nice and peaceful garden. Housekeeping service was as it says, nothing over the top, but for that kind of place again acceptable. If you want 5 star service simply go to 5 star accommodation.
Food, again, you simply get what you pay for, I just cannot understand what people expect for one of the cheapest deals on this island!!!! Breakfast was plentiful. bacon, eggs (boiled, fried, scrambled), fresh bread rolls, toast bread, cereals, yoghurt, fruit yoghurt, continental breakfast, pastry,.....

Lunch and dinner, always freshly grilled one kind of meat (beef, pork, chicken or lamb!!) and one kind of fish! Plenty of salads (fresh and pickled!!), other meals, nothing special but you can always find something for yourself.

I shall repeat, this is ALL INCLUSIVE type of place, three star, and you definitelly get MORE than you pay for.

All in all, would go back.

“ Top Tip: First of all, I would like to point that El Cotillo is a very quiet, small fisherman village and it is beautiful. If you want some wild parties, clubs and similar, this area is definitely not for you. Very short walk to the sandy, beautiful, quiet beaches. Some cool restaurants 5-10 minutes walk. What I personally liked about the area that tourists were very mixed, from very "Benidorm style" holiday makers to some young and alternative backpackers which was very cool. Renting a car is definitely a plus.
