Cotillo Sunset Apartments

“ The sunset apartments are extremely clean and well run. They are much larger than the usual self catering apartments and have a settee! The position right on the beach is marvellous and although there is a short walk to the village for restaurants it is all on the flat. El Cotillo is a gem, very laid back and nothing much happens here, which suits us fine! The beaches are just stunning.
Only criticism is that it would be good to have sheets changed twice a week rather than weekly.

“ The Sunset apartments are great for singles, couples and families! The apartment and grounds were well maintained and really clean - nothing was to much trouble for the owner and staff and we found them so helpfull in offering information regarding places to visit and to eat out.

“ Top Tip: There are some great restaurants however Cotillio is a small village so what there is is great but restricted. Its not the place for those looking for a nightlife other than a chilled out restaurant to enjoy a bottle of wine and the company of others.

TOP TIP - You'll want to hire a car to get around to all of those lovely hidden places and beaches!

“ Very enjoyable, reception staff always helpful, cleaning staff efficient, everyone very friendly. Plenty of sunbeds around a lovely pool, and seconds from the wonderful beach and just minutes walk to supermarkets, bars and good restaurants. Disappointing that there were unfinished properties in the village, a result of the boom/bust building schemes all over Spain I imagine but that didn't detract from a good destination for a relaxing holiday.

“ Top Tip: Lovely golden beaches close by for walking, sunbathing and a game of footie or volleyball, and a beach bar which sold snacks too and was very popular with all ages. Also an excellent little pizza/snackbar in the next door apartments. Recommend La Rustica restaurant for good atmosphere along with excellent food, the Pizzeria opposite the childrens playground for huge delicious pizza and very friendly staff, gave us a discount on our second visit!! Also the Tapas Bar (can't remeber the name) for live music on Friday evenings and very good tapas and red wine! Check out the french bakery/patisserie for wonderful coffee and pastries, croissants, breads and well worth a visit or two, or three ..... But, don't bother with the Aisiatic Cuisine Restaurant nearby - lovely lady runs it but the food was totally tastless. Ate at a few more places which were good, there's no problem finding somewhere to get a decent, well priced meal. Good little suppermarket just 5 mins from hotel sold just about everything you would need, but little pricier that the larger one at the other end of town, but you need to walk another 5/10 mins up there. However the apartments reception sold water, juice, coffee, bread rolls, ice cream and cold beer from the fridge and the prices were OK.

“ Sunset is a small frontline apertment complex right on the beach.
The rooms are a good size open plan with a kitchen area couch, balcony with table and chairs.
Our balcony overlooked the pool area which is a nice suntrap.
The guy at reception does a small selection of drinks which were very reasonable.
So to sum up all was clean and tidy and we would return.
