The Barcelo Jandia Playa is situated next to Jandia beach in the south of the island of Fuerteventura, and offers excellent possibilities for water-sports enthusiasts as well as many other activities. The hotel is just a few minutes walk from Morro Jable, a picturesque fishing village, where guests can enjoy a stroll through its quiet streets or discover the arts and crafts made by local craftsmen. The hotel offers well maintained gardens, 4 swimming pools, a sauna, Jacuzzi, gym and solarium in addition to a range of restaurants and bars, and 634 guest rooms, all spacious, air-conditioned and featuring modern amenities.

My partner and I have just returned from two weeks stay at the Jandia Playa, it being our first time on an all inclusive deal. We had some hesitation about this, not usually stopping in larger hotels and generally preferring to eat in places of our choice.
Our hesitations were unfounded. We found it to be a fantastic place to relax with comfortable beds, well provided for rooms and plenty of space in the resort to find our own nook whether that was by the pool or in the evening. Outside of the hotel we also loved the Jandia beaches and Morro Jable town.
The food was superb, clearly managed on a budget (we were on a fantastic deal) but the quality, flavour and range of food meant that there was always plenty of healthy and interesting food to tempt one to eat. We are foodies and I was surprised that we weren't tempted to eat out more during our stay.
This hotel is in general terms managed superbly, has excellent staff and is well run. It could do with a refresh on decor but you do get what you pay for.

“ Great hotel with wonderful staff. Very good selection of food - there should be something there for everyone! Very large complex - always a new path to go down each day or area that you haven't yet discovered! Good sized rooms and clean. Overall a lovely hotel with a beautiful beach 5-10 minutes down the road.
“ Top Tip: A lot of the food wasn't labelled so just be cautious if you have food allergies.

“ hotel beautiful but food did not offer much choice and hotel does seem to be more German and French and does not offer much in the way of evening entertainment. Location beautiful if you want beach holiday but nothing in the area in the way of shops of bars. Rooms clean but basic and could be doing with new bedding and painting. Staff very friendly and helpful.
