The hotel was very well appointed and designed are it was built into a hillside. The hotel caters to a premium club level, so those on a budget benefit from that in the stndard of the common reception Bar and entertainment areas. The reception staff were always very helpful and all of the minor issues we had were resolved quickly.

There were a lot of people staying at the hotel. The resturant did very well to cater for all nationalites, in buffet style at all meals; even when service was busy you could have your selection cooked on the grill to your liking. Aminor issue is that kids with fussy tastes would have a very limited selection. We took our 16 year old and she always enjoyed the meal.

The all inclusive options means that drinks are avaiable after breakfast from 10 am. The hot drink dispensers were very popular. In the evening the lounge bar on the 1st floor opened where you could have a quiet drink and the coffee machine provided a very good expresso or cappuccino.

The evening entertainment was slightly better than lower budget Spanish hotels. The shows were popular and we stayed all the way through a few. One evening in they had a Four Tops tribute which was great and everyone got involved in the fun. From Tuesday to Saturday there is a disco which my daughter enjoyed. It is on quite late so it meant sleeping by the pool after breakfast to re-energise.

The hotel pools were excellent for relaxing around if you wanted to stay around sunbeds were always available. If you wanted to get away from the noise of the animation team who encourage people to get invovled in a variety of activities there was a pool on a lower level. There was also an open air spa pool which was heated which was great in November. The areas was also very sheltered if there was a breeze. We were still able to cath the sun there even with cloud cover, which was great. The spa had a sauna, gym and a jacuzzi (which was being rebuilt when we were there). All of the poolside areas were very clean.

The hotel is terraced with rooms in blocks on lower levels from the main hotel. The hotel provide a car to take us to our room. The pathways are bordered with gardens which were constanly maintained and the gardeners were always friendly and happy in their work. The blocks and pathways were being repaired and maintained so that the standard of the hotel remained constant (4 stars)

We had a room with two large single beds and a sofa bed. All were very comfortable and easy to sleep on. There plenty of storage in the room. The bathroom was well appointed; it suffered slightly withnot having an extraction fan, with a small window for ventillation. The room had air conditioning and a fan which was satsfactory for our stay. Fuerteventura is not a humid island so I positive it would be OK in summer.

The hotel being on a hill meant that if you took the path from the hotel it was a steep climb for a 100m or so baack the hotel level with aound 0.5km walk to the beach. The climb could be avoided by taking the lift down to a shopping level and crossing a road to get to the path to the beach. The beach was excellent very clean and plenty of space if you wanted to lay a towel. We enjoyed walking into town in the morning and strolling back on the beach to the hotel; even in November the sea was not too cold. One issue that might affect families is that Furteventura has mixed clothed and nudist beaches. Our 16 year old was initially embarrased, but she got over that and really ejoyed our stay.

We did not hire a car for our week as we wanted to get away from behind the wheel, we wanted to totally chill out. In coclusion that is what we did and Barcelo Jandia Playa and their staff made that happen for us, a four star holiday.

Top Tip: This a place to relax in we always found a space on the beach that made it feel like our own.

Use Travel Republic transfer service to this hotel you will save a fortune as it takes more than one hour and is double the cost on the operator website.

we have just returned from this hotel ,as a forty yr old well travelled couple, after staying previously at another all inclusive barcelo hotel.this hotel is now a typical all inclusive hotel ,plastic cups, buffet style canteen food, lack of crockery constantly,at breakfast the queue for the coffee machines was always ten deep-we gave up.it is no longer waiter service at mealtimes purely table clearers.we had hot plates with salad and cold plates with warm food.the glasses constantly smelt of dishwashers and were mostly chipped.it is only £12 extra per room to go all in if you decide to when you arrive and that was really all it was worth.we heard a family say they had got two weeks of this!!!spot on accomodation 3star plus, not 4.we ate out a few times to get away from the food queuing and warm food.it lacked staff in the food dept.we spoke to someone who had been there last yr and this time they were also dissapointed.loved the resort and the rest of the hotel but not the constant bun fight in the canteen and bar queues

Top Tip: this hotel was far more sophisticated than its sister hotel behind "jandia mar" we had a drink in there and it seemed chavvy.take a walk down the front for calmer relaxing time.the beech was superb and shall retun next yr but self catering.far less stressful

Large and clean complex. Alot of the rooms are some distance from the main part of the hotel with alot of steps and banks etc therefore I would not say this is suitable for people with walking difficulties.
Food was at a good standard along with the drink selection.
For the 3 nights we were there the entertainments board could have been more upto date with times etc and made more available througout the complex. All in all had a great time, stayed in many hotels in Jandia and this is one we would certainly return too.

Hotel is excellent, pool areas are spectacular (palm trees, water flowing to next pool by waterfall, beach on the close horizon), rooms very clean and maintained well. There is a broad selection of food that is changed daily, something for everybody's taste. Would highly recommend and will return!

Top Tip: We were an active group in our 30's, wind surfing lessons etc. If you do one thing on this holiday, do the Jet ski safari from Morro Jable. It is FANTASTIC and well worth the money. Tip: book through tourist information office and save yourself €30, they don't charge commission!

The hotel is in need of a total update, very tired looking. Food was good for the 4 days of our stay. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Entertainment was ok, some nights better than others. Must admit though, the more days into our holiday the more we liked the place.
