“ This is the sixth time we have stayed at this hotel, which indicates that we are happy with the facilities available and it's location naer to the beach and the main shopping area. There are more luxurious hotels in the area, but much more expensive and remote from the towns facilities.
“ Top Tip: Go to the local zoo where you can stroke an alligator, stroll a mile to Morre Jable for a feel of the locals town. Laze on the beach and do nothing.

It is friendly and very clean. Apartments are spacious and easily enough room for a family of four. Bins and floors cleaned for you. Bedding changed twice and towels three times in 10 days, so feels like hotel standard.
Kitchen is very basic with only two electric hobs no grill/oven, but adequate for simple meals.
Beach is a maxium 5 minute walk away. Pool cleaned every morning and a lifeguard is on from 10am until 6pm. Nightly entertainment provided, some of the acts we had seen before in a 4 star hotel up the road, and drinks are reasonably priced.
We are beach and sea people, so kid's didn't used the kids club but we heard announcements every day, which said 5 to 12 yrs old welcome and different activities always offered.
This was our second stay at these apartments, and it didn't disappoint us.We will be back next October the weather was warmer, than when we'd stayed in April so just glorious.
“ Top Tip: We suggest you take a kettle, toaster, tin opener and a sharp knife, and tea towels are not provided. You can rent a kettle and toaster. We always rent the apartment safe for extra peace of mind with passports etc.

“ We have just arrived home after a weeks stay at the Sol Jandia Mar. This was a second stay the first stay having been about eight years ago. We had no complaints other than it was extremely hot (37 38) due to the lack of the normally cooling breeze and the lack of air conditioning in our room. The slopes back to our very nice room seemed much steeper than before no doubt due to our advancing years although we managed very well and thought of it as exercise after eating rather too much of the very nice breakfast and dinner it would not be any good if you had a medical condition or couldnt manage hills. The staff were really good and very friendly and eager to please they do work very hard. All in all we had a great time as the island is a delight. We had a car and the roads are very safe and in great condition very few cars on the road. There are some wonderfull beaches and the island is well looked after. Would I go again only if they install air con as the temperature was 30 at night.
