“ Lovely pool with fantastic views. Good value set price menu - it was great to be able to try authentic Catalan dishes. The village was very peaceful and the hotel seemed to be particularly suitable for a 'get away from it all' break.
“ Top Tip: The village square has a number of cheap bars, good for an evening drink and tapas to watch the world go by.

“ arriving at the hotel quite late the receptionist made sure that we could have a meal. the breakfast was excellent. the manner of the staff was excellent and friendly. the oldy worldy style of the hotel was nice. we would definitely staf there again.

“ Very quite village up in the mountains. Great place to stay if you want to get away from it all.Only an hour from the French border and easy to find. Barcelona was only an hour cars drive away. Evening meals were excellent. They were 3 courses at only 10.40 euros. Breakfast was usual continental style including cereal, toast, cakes meats etc...The only problem we found was that the english spoken there was very basic but we managed to find french as a common ground for both parties to speak. The rooms of a good clean size. We only stopped for two nights but they cleaned the room after the first stay. Wished we had stayed for another couple of nights to explore the areas mountains.

Hostal del Sol is in Sant Feliu de Guixols. A population of Empordà located in the heart of the Costa Brava i that, thanks to its climate agradabe, be immersed in a landscape full of contrasts.
“ we were the only two in the hotel for the first couple of nights,the most having breakfast at any one time was 8 but usually it was just two.it seems sant feliu closes down on sept 16th,so its not really a good time to go there.apart from that ,the hotel was clean and the staff were very nice.
