The hotel exceeded our expectations in all respects. The reception, bedrooms, and pool area were very high standard and the location was just above a beautiful walk down to the rocky swimming pools which are a welcome addition to the hotels own pools. We may be clouded a little by the excellent off-season price but I would have seriously, gladly paid double. The hotel was also a little low at this time of the year on guest numbers but the staff didn't give any less a service.
Specifically the bedrooms were oversized and had a large bathroom together with a terraced area leading to the perfectly tended pool area through a small gate. Other floors just had a balcony but still facing the pool. All in a top hotel for a reasonable price in a must see area.
“ Top Tip: The walk down to the ocean is beautiful and about 200 winding metres. Once down, you can walk to the delicious restaurants in the harbour and have a laze on the harbour beach. The cliffs are pure drama and would be the core of any post holiday slideshows.

We spent a week at this hotel, and chose it based on the reviews we read on Trip Advisor - we weren't disappointed.
The hotel itself is situated in a beautiful peaceful location overlooking the small town Agaete on the northern coast of Gran Canaria. The hotel itself is very clean & modern, all the rooms look out over the swimming pool. The rooms on the ground floor have little patios with direct access to the pool, those on the higher floors have balconies with wonderful sea views. The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, and the food was good. It is a short walk from the hotel down to the sea front at Agaete, and to natural salt water swimming pools. From from the port it is possible to cross by fast boat over to Tenerife one hour away.
We found Agaete a good base to explore the island from, with some spectacular drives along the coast and up into the mountains. Hiring a car if staying at this hotel is highly recommended. The hotel itself is just under an hours drive from the airport, along good roads.
The only negative things I would say about the hotel is that the pool was a bit too cold for us (it was a shame it wasn't heated), and there were no tea & coffee making facilities in the room - but this seems to be the case with most hotels in Europe. We also found the air conditioning a little noisy at night, but this is only a very minor complaint, and it didn't cause us any problems. The weather was generally good, but not as reliable as the weather in the south.
If you want a relaxing peaceful holiday, away from the main tourist hot spots, in a really good hotel then I'd highly recommend this one. It is particularly suitable for couples, or people staying with friends.
“ Top Tip: Rooms on ground floor have patios with direct access to the pool. Rooms on higher floors have balconies with lovely sea views.

“ The hotel was superb. The restaurant offered a very good dining experience and the Italian served very good if expensive food. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the staff were charming and we would definately return if we returned to Gran Canaria.
“ Top Tip: Go inland and the walking is spectacular. In the botanical garden in Agaete there is a lovely coffee shop and the garden is well worth a visit.

This is a quiet hotel in a quiet location. Perfect if you wish to explore and willing to travel to experience the true Gran Canaria. Not for those looking for a nightlife.
Walking distance to Agaete and Puerto de las Nieves. You must be able to walk hills so this may limit the elderly.
Very relaxing atmosphere in hotel. Reception staff excellent - very friendly and helpful.
Rooms clean.
Breakfast good with pastries, cereal, cooked foods, cheese and ham.. something for everyone
La Caleta food good - nothing spectacular.
