Faycan Hotel

“ The hotel was great, right on the beach front with loads of bars, restuarants and cafe's right next to it. The room was simple but clean and had everything we needed. Breakfast was good, it was 8 to 10.30 so it was suitable for both days we wanted to sleep in and days we needed to be up early. The sun terrace on the roof had sun loungers which were nice to relax and read a book or magazine or something on.

“ The Hotel was in very convenient access to the beach, restaurants/cafe/bars. Consequently the latter of these can prove irritating if you like peace and quiet. The walls are quite thin so conversations can be plainly heard inside and outside of the building due to the absence of double glazing.
However, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly and continental breakfasts were very good. It is advisable to be at breakfast after 9am to ensure seating in the week, weekends not so bad.
Cleanliness and maintenance were of utmost paramount also at the Hotel. If you require beach accessibility and convenience to restaurants/bars, this is the place for you.

“ Top Tip: If you require budget food outlets there are several Buffet King/Chinese Buffet restaurants that provide all you can eat for 6.50 euros. There are also many fish restaurants that provide tasty dishes for around 50-60 euros for 2 persons including 1 drink each.
Our best preference was Gallo Feli, just a 5 minute walk from the Hotel which served a 3 course delicious meal with large beer and half bottle of wine for less than 55 euros. The service and food were both excellent.

If you like shopping check out El Corte Ingles for top brand names in fashion or La Playa Arenas, the mall that has everything and also caters for families.
Trips well worth a visit are the Camel Safari and Puerto de Mogan.

“ Our room was very clean and spacious and everything that should have worked did. I appreciated the small desk and extra two chairs. The shower came off the bath taps but was hot and powerful so okay. I was disappointed with the small dining room which caused pressure for tables and contributed to the limited food choice. The only eggs are hard boiled only. The staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel's proximity of about 40 meters from the beautiful promenade is a major plus point.

“ Top Tip: The Santa Catalina bus terminal is a straight ten minute walk to the east, i.e. away from beach. The major stores along the Jose Mesa y Lopez a similar distance to the south. For food value the 'all you can eat' chinese buffets on the sea front at 6 euro per person take some beating.
