“ Overall this is a very good hotel - by far the best all inclusive package we've found to date, i.e. the food was good and plentiful and you also got branded spirits, which you don't normally get on an AI deal. They had self service pumps for beer, wine and sot drinks in the bars and the dining room which was great as it saved queing. Local white wine wasn't up to much though, but the red was slightly better. Sun beds were plentiful and there was no need to put a towel down very early in the morning which can be a problem in other hotels. Our room was spacious and every room had a sea view and balcony, and the standard of cleanliness was v high throughout the hotel. Downsides were that the rooms were quite a bit away from the bars and dining room; the hotel was quite out of the way and very high up on a hill so not very suitable to walk anywhere and also not near any other bars and restaurants should you fancy a change. In saying that a taxi into Puerto Rico was approx 3.30 euros each way which was pretty reasonable. The worse thing was the entertainment - this was pretty dire and by far the worse we've seen on any holiday. Overall though, we enjoyed our break in the sun.

“ Top Tip: The layout in the hotel is upside down, i.e. all the rooms are on the bottom five floors of the hotel, 6th and 7th floor are the kitchen/staff areas, 8th is reception and dining room, 9th floor is the swimming pools and pool bar / dining area. Lifts can be busy at peak meal times and some people walked up the stairs rather than wait for the lift - quite a trek if you're on one of the lower floors and so would recommend asking for a 4th or 5th floor where possible (as less stairs to climb), and the rooms on these floors seem to get more sun during the day.
