“ Perfect location - everything in a walking distance. Good breakfast, but pure spa and room cleaning. There is no information about hotel facilities in the room and very limited information in English about Gran Canaria.
“
Top Tip:
Always cloudy and windy, temperature about 8 degrees lower then in the south, good for surfing but not for swimming. Excellent shopping and lovely and
inexpensive food and drinks.

“ The hotel is now called Hotel Christina Las Palmas. It is clean neat and convenient to town promenade and beach. However there is no way this is five star, 4 at best! The food is mediocre with little choice for half board (3 choices each of 3 courses) and no vegetarian main courses. When compared to Melia Tamarindos at St Augustin this hotel barely makes 3 stars. The staff were very friendly.

Enjoyed our stay in Las Palmas. However spent over 1 1/2 hours looking for the hotel. In busy traffic in a strange town, driving on the wrong side of the road!!!
However eventually, we discovered that we had driven past it several time whilst serching for the Melia. It had changed it's name a couple of months ago to Christina. You can imagine that we were pretty annoyed that we had not been informed of this change by yourselves or the hotel. But, once there, we enjoyed the hotel. The staff are very pleasant and parking is free, underground so very convenient. The Hotel is situated right on the promanade overlooking the beach. The rooms are a good size and well equipped. The dining room is modern and serves both hot and cold dishes for breakfast. We did not eat in the restaurant for dinner but went into the town where there are dozens of places to eat.
“ Top Tip: There are some excellent fish restaurants right on the beach. Some lovely coves with rock pools and some large sandy beaches.

“ The hotel is in an ideal position right in front of Las Canteras beach.The staff were friendly and helpfull,the rooms were well equiped,well furnished and air conditioned.The room we had was at the back of the hotel overlooking the harbour,which we found alright.there are plenty of eating places and bars nearby.there is a small Lebanese resteraunt and bar next to the hotel wich serves very good food for not alot of money.The promenade stretches for 4 kilometers and is good exercise.Overall we enjoyed the hotel and the holiday very much and would go back to Las Palmas and the same hotel again.
