This attractive beach hotel was built in 1971, completely renovated in 2005 and comprises a total of 183 double rooms and 5 suites spread over 5 floors. The fully air-conditioned hotel has a foyer area with a 24-hour reception desk, a safe, a currency exchange facility, lifts, shops and a hairdresser. Moreover, there is a bar, a cafe, a restaurant and a conference room. Guests may make use of the room and laundry services and there is a doctor on call as well as car parking facilities.This comfortable hotel is located close to beach (approximately 200 m) and not far from the tourist and town centres.
Public transport departs from stops located about 300 m away and the nearest shops lie 500 m away. “ We have been going to the Faro Hotel for 22 years now, so , as you can gather, we love it! The situation is superb, right on the beach. The staff are all very friendly and helpful and the whole hotel is spotlessly clean. Since it is a quiet, relaxing hotel it is probably best suited to older couples or young folk who just want to chill out.

Positives
The hotel was very nice and clean, serviced daily and had easy access to the pool and beach. Lift to all floors
Mini bar in the room was useful on the occasion we ran out of water
Breakfast serving staff very cheerful and pleasantly helpful
Helpful reception staff who booked a wheel chair for us which was delivered same day and advised us on eateries and buses
Very extensive range and variety on offer at the breakfast buffet
Negatives
I requested a room with a shower rather than a bath as my mother has mobility problems. The hotel said they were not made aware of this and had booked us into a room with a bath. We managed to get a room with a shower, however this was at the front of the hotel and we didn't have the sea views we were expecting. We were advised to contact the hotel by fax in future ourselves to ensure our needs were met.
Charges were added for use of the safe which in my opinion should have been free!
There were no tea making facilities in the room so hot drinks had to be ordered via room service for which there was a 3 euro additional charge per order
Items in the mini bar were very expensive
No cork screw in the room although there was a bottle opener.
“ Top Tip: Hiring a wheel chair was very easy and worth it. Hotel staff called for rates with a local company they often use and ordered it for us.

“ we had awonderful holiday but we had a really good room that had a view looking over to the sand dunes with a sea view and we could see the mountains. The food was buffet style but very good the chef cooked your meat or fish from fresh and there was plenty of choice the room was very comfortable and we had a bottle of champaigne in our room on arrival. The bathroom had a bath and shower and it was very spacious. The maid came every day. The only critsism is that they could have made more effort with the entertainment it was a bit dated and not on long enough.
