Room was clean and very well presented. Would have been perfected had tea and coffee facilities been provided in room.
Staff very polite and helpful.
Music during meals could have been less noisy. Food excellent and varied.
It would have been great too if the swimming pool was lit in the evenings ... would have created better ambience during meals outside.
Gym very badly equipped ... chose this hotel because of gym
“ Top Tip: found excellent gym just a short walk from hotel in tenis club

This is not a hotel for families and is never a four star resort. On arriving found that the "SUITE" we had booked consisted of two rooms with a large opening between them effectively making it a studio apartment. No privacy. We were expecting a pull out sofa bed that our two kids could sleep on but there was only a basic sofa. This meant nowhere to sit and ended up with all four of us in two single beds, pushed together. Cot was provided, but our almost 3 year old daughter hadn't slept in a cot for about a year. No point complaining as all apartments are the same.
Rooms were kept clean and staff were friendly, but resort in January was chronically understaffed, meaning long waits at the bar and some staff becoming stressed and surly. Management problem.
We went all-inclusive and found staff to treat bed/breakfast i.e "paying" customers slightly better and quicker. Food was ok but no great choice or quality. Have been A.I. half dozen times previously and this is the only resort that didn't provide self-service soft drinks, beer and wine at meal times.
Only things for children to do is swim, large/infant pools were freezing with heated pool only fractionally warmer, or play in plastic play park you could find in any back garden. No entertainment for kids and adult entertainment was a singer on Friday night.
Overall impression was of a perfect resort for couples, not designed for all-inclusive guests or families, trying to attract all types of customer and penny pinching to make maximum profit from each guest.

These apartment villas were clean and spacious, no kettle to make a drink, so take your own if only b and b or like a drink early morning. We went late november December, weather very pleasant. If you want to go to the beach they provide you with a free bus pass to the beach, which takes about tweny minutes as you have to go to further hotels to pick them up. We would recommend a car, as not only is it easier quicker, but you get to see a lot of the island and mountains. Try Porto de Mogan beautiful little harbour very italian looking with shops and restaurants all around the harbour. Maspalomas has nice sandy beachs and of course the dunes, and you can walk all the way around to Ingles, and back around the streets to the hotel taking about three hours if you are upto walking like us.(or you can get the free bus to Ingle from the hotel) Ingles is very much a young place, and I can imagine it being very noisy in peak season with all its bars and discos.
If you are at Maspalomas, and you go the direction of Puerto Rico in your car weather is about 8 degrees warmer as there is no wind. Amadores is a lovely beach to visit, it is brilliant for young children, snorkeling and those who are not so good at swimming as it has a bay, which is very safe. If you visit Puerto de Mogan that also has a safe bay. The mountains are well worth going up. And we also visited Las palmas its self, which has a a large beach, good for surfing, and has a very large town for shopping.
These places are only accesable if you have a car a you seem to be just stuck in the same place at this hotel. If you like sun bathing all day well that is ok as there are plenty of sun lounges here, but at late and early times of the year the water in the pool is very cold, it is not heated, my husband and I chanced it but you do not stay in long.(for this I would class as a three star hotel, as we always like to make use of the pool when not on the beach) the baby pool apparently was warm, though we never tried it. The breakfast in this hotel had plenty to choose from, if you got there before 9. Not much entertainment at that time of year.
“ Top Tip: If you walk down the road to the main road and turn left, straight on to you get to the empty canal on the right go over it, and on the left had side there is chinese restaurant, very good and very cheap. The outdoor restaurant on the corner we thought worked out expensive. If you go into maspalomas, it will take you 45 minutes to walk to the beach, and there are some bar restaurants there which are quite esonsable. If you want some really nice restaurants further along near the light house there are lots of restaurants, well worth having a look at, you can always find one which is resonable. And there are all the top name shops there, wished I had a few thousand pound spare. I think this is one of the best Canary Islands and is well worth hiring a car. Betting booking a car at home it is a lot safer, the one we booked from the hotel had dodgy brakes.
