“ An absolutely fabulous true 5 star hotel. Very attentive friendly staff, excellent facilities, scrupulously clean and couldn't find a single fault. The Spa was a wonderful experience too . Me and my husband enjoyed a honey dreams experience and both felt so relaxed after our wonderful massages with hot oils and stones. Food was great and I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel with no hesiatation.
“ Top Tip: Fabulous beach with golden sand dunes to enjoy some relaxing sunbathing if wanted an alternative from the hotel's pools.

Fantastic hotel with truly five star service and facilities.
Rooms have minibar, tea/coffee, 99 tv stations including sky sports 1, very comfortable beds, carpeted, bathroom with shower, digital scales, bathrobes, slippers etc.
My balcony overlooked the pool, some palm trees and the sea!
The staff are truly wonderful, anticipating guests needs and if you need anything, just ask and they will sort it.
Breakfast served 8am to 11am is huge, croissants from the hotels own bakery, melon and various other fresh fruits as well as a chef to prepare omlettes, pancakes, eggs, bacon etc.
Room service is available till 9.30pm and the hotel is located virtually on the beach.
There are two pools, two saunas, tennis courts, yoga etc.
The sunbeds are the best I have ever seen and are looked after by the pool attendants who will arrange cushions and towels for you.
African Bar by the pool does great lunchtime snacks and although I didn't use the restaurants, the fillet steak from room service was perfect.
Although an expensive hotel to book, well worth the money, especially with drinks and food being reasonably priced .
“ Top Tip: The hotel is virtually on the beach at Maspalomas, turn left and you can cross the dunes to Playa del Ingles, turn right and you have restaurants, bars, shops etc.

“ Nice hotel 2 minutes from the beach. Excellent food and choice of food. Very friendly staff although the concierge could smile a bit more. Also the concierge was unable to provide us with information on bus times to Palmitos Park. But thats just a minor upset. All in all, a nice hotel.
“ Top Tip: Buy Palmitos park tickets online before you travel. You save 10%.

Returned on 16/8/11 after a week here with our 2 children aged 4 and 2. Room was far too small for a family as they'd put 2 guest beds into a double room! Nothing could be done to rectify this as all rooms are the same size, unless you book a suite (which were unavailable when we stayed). Both the bathroom and balcony were TINY for 2 people, nevermind 4, but the decor was tasteful and the room was clean.
The food was just ok - we've had better in 4* hotels. I didn't notice an excess of birds as the bread baskets were covered and we never left our table unattended. Small birds did clear up crumbs around the floor and, if tables were left unattended, then 1 or 2 birds might hop onto them, like in most open-air restaurants. I guess it's because there are no stray cats prowling around! This wasn't a problem to us. The set menu wasn't up to 5* standard in our opinion. One annoying detail about the restaurant being outdoors only was the fact that we were surrounded by several heavy smokers every meal time. With 2 small children this WAS a problem for us, but one we couldn't do much about unfortunately.
The location of the hotel is great - right across from the sandunes and beach and near to shops / restaurants / supermarkets ect. The hotel pools were kept reasonably clean, however one baby had an 'accident' in the baby pool and nothing was done about it despite the 'pool man' being informed. The pool filter system seemed to break down and get rid of the offending article over the course of the afternoon and evening....not good! My daughter was kept away from it for 2 days!
Evening entertainment was awful, but we weren't looking for any, luckily! Children's club was very basic. My son tried it out twice, but the staff were lacking energy and ideas, seemingly.
Staff were polite, but you may need some basic Spanish in the restaurants to get by. We have stayed in 4* hotels in the Canaries (and Maspalomas) which have at least matched and surpassed this hotel and we won't be staying here on our next visit. If you are a couple who want a spa hotel, this might do the job? It was ok, but not quite a 5*

This is the second time we have stayed in this hotel and it is really lovely. The hotel is in a quiet area so there is not a huge amount to do in the evening but it is great for a relaxing holiday in top quality surroundings and lovely staff.
The other guests are mostly German but the staff all speak English. The rooms are lovely and the hotel is very clean. The evening meal alternates between barbeque/buffet and a menu which is always lovely.
