Staff very friendly and helpful, this was the best element of the hotel!
Great location.
Excellent facilities such as seating areas and spa.
Food good especially at chameleon restaurant however food needs improving at
Gofio buffet restaurant. It was pedestrian and bland although the barbecue was a good idea.
Lovely swimming pools but more could be heated.
Beach house really no more than a decent changing room and shower near the beach so nothing special.
All in all a great and relaxing hotel which we would recommend and return to.

I originally stayed at this hotel some 4 years ago. I think at that time it had only recently opened. having come back 4 years later I have to say that the hotel looked tired. The the tables and chairs in the general areas need refurbishment or renewal. The hand basins in our room were chipped and were shabby without the chic. The bed linen and towels need renewing - you know how white towels end up looking grey after time? some towels had holes in them as they were worn out.
Food-wise the buffet restaurant (Gofio) has gone down hill a little and they are obviously buying cheaper meats - pork chops instead of beef steak for example.
Oh yes, there was a wedding and a conference on at the weekend. I wish the bride and groom well but the PA system (set up in the open air as far as I could tell) was far too loud and was booming around the hotel coming up to midnight. The hotel should have known this (I run conferences and events and always do a sound check from all corners of a hotel or venue so as not to inconvenience other guests). The business conference was fine apart from the fact that breakfast was carnage. Although additional tables had been set up, there were far too few and the restuarant was absolutely packed out. On the second day we discovered by pure accident that another restaurant at the hotel was open to take guests.
I am not prone to whinge but this is a 5 star hotel and it is in danger of becoimg a 3 star hotel in my eyes. Just a case of I would like to get what I pay for!
On a positive note, a big plus to the staff of the hotel who were and are excellent. Not their fault that profits are not being put back into the business to keep up with maintainence and renewal.

“ LOvely hotel with very attentive staff. Good facilities - rooms comfortable, good for swimming and relaxing around the pool. A la carte restaurant only open Fri, Sat and Sun but worth visiting.
“ Top Tip: Try a round of golf on the less used North Course for some spectacular views and interesting golf challenges.
