Paradise Costa Taurito Hotel

“ Having read reviews on trip advisor I was unsure what to expect but was very pleased with the hotel. Food was of a good standard and reasonable variety, staff very helpful and friendly. Very clean and tidy. It is a little out of the way of the usual tourist resorts so not too crowded or brash. Would certainly go again.

“ Top Tip: Use the local buses from the resort, very reliable and quick. They do not tend to go round the houses, we were in Playa Del Ingles within 30 mins, taxi takes 25mins and costs more.

“ We stayed at the same hotel last year and loved it, however the old adage about not returning to the same place held true! We had emailed in advance requesting a specific room which we were allocated, great! Last year the WiFi was free and an important feature for us, this year the charge was 12 euro a day, ridiculous!!! We ended up using free WiFi at a nice beach front cafe in Mogan. The staff were surly, last year they had all been happy and welcoming giving the hotel a Family run feel, very different this year!
We loved the wide choice of food at breakfast, the eggs are really nice and you could tell they were free range, but lunches and evening meals were very disappointing. We ended up eating v little but made up for it a breakfast. My husband had sandwiches a couple of times as he found the food very off putting, a great shame as it was much better last year.
The pool area is nice but too small when the hotel is full and people chose not to use the nearby water park, not enough sun beds. Sorry to say that we will not return.

“ Top Tip: Use the local bs to travel around, they are very good and get you anywhere on the Island. If you travel into the mountains or North, Las Palmas etc... Be aware of the possible differences in weather, it may be a scorcher in Taurito but can be freezing elsewhere so go prepared! Do not judge the Island on the Coastal resorts, the interior s totally different, it would be like going to Blackpool and saying you had been to England!

“ Off season is quite quiet of an evening, but I liked that! They provided all the usual stuff you would expect from a package type hotel, kids club and sports/activities etc. I'd imagine the pool gets pretty busy in high season though, as not much space there. Restaurant was not quite as canteen like as some of the larger hotels in the near vicinity. Not sure it quite deserves the 4 stars, as I have never been to another 4 star place that didn't supply a housekeeping service on 2 days of the week before. But that would be about my only gripe personally.

“ Top Tip: Puerto de Mogan, 5 minutes on the bus is a very pretty marina town with some lovely places to eat, and a market for haggling on a Friday. Ignore the expensive dolphin tours and get the glass bottom ferry that does 2 special sailings a day back to Peurto Mogan from Puerto Rico via the dolphin area, for the same price as a normal return ticket (don't plan on spending any time in PR though, its hideously touristy).
