“ My wife, eldest daughter (18) and I enjoyed our stay at the Lago Taurito, food was nice, plenty choices for fussy eaters, rooms were basic yet comfortable with air con. Entertainment was a bit disappointing in my opinion. We stayed in May and had a whole week of abnormally hot weather which was a bonus, location of resort on South-West corner of island gives the best weather so I was told. I honestly wouldn't like to be there in July or August as area where evening entertainment is held was quite busy then, and I overheard a receptionist telling a guest that the hotel was only half full. Free entry to superb Water park next to hotel with quite a few slides, and beach is 2 mins walk away. Superb value for money but as I said beware the busy months.
“ Top Tip: Resort of 'Mogan', next resort round has a Friday market, get a taxi round there for 6 euros or catch bus at top of resort.

This hotel was as desribed although I thought the waterpark was better than expected. Lots of high flumes/slides etc. Ideal for big kids as well as little ones!! The own hotel pool was quite small but ok. The food was excellent with a great variety. Even my fussy son found plenty to eat. There is a pizza and Thai bar open lunch and dinner time. The AI gives you food all day as hotdogs, burgers and toasted sandwiches are available when the restaurant is closed.
The location on the beach was good and there was plenty of shops etc to cater for guests.
The down side was the decor of the rooms which was very tired. The bathrooms looked heavily patched up and the bed cover was faded and definitely in need of replacing. The actual size of the rooms were good but let down by decoration.
Not a place to go unless you have children as there were lots of them!
The other downside was that the waterpark charged 2 euros for a sunbed and 2 euors for the cushion to go on it. Times that by 4 each day and that all adds up! Would recommend to others as a good all round holiday.

we have stayed at this hotel before but this time it was much better the resort is better now the food in the hotel is far better than before with a greater selection and even a thai food section on a lunch time which was very tasty
there was lots to do for children we are in our late 50s so this did not apply to us but we did notice this ,we would recommend this to everyone
