This complex was built in 1992, renovated in 2004 and consists of 124 rooms of which 86 are 2-storey apartments. Amongst the hotel's facilities is a lobby area with 24-hour reception and a safe for guests' valuables. In addition, the apartment complex offers guests use of a public Internet terminal and a bicycle storage facility.The apartment complex is located in the tourist centre of the town, approximately 2 km from the nearest beach. Shopping venues, restaurants, bars and pubs, as well as links to the public transport network, may all be found a mere 100 metres from the complex.The functional 2-storey apartments come with a bathroom, satellite/cable TV, a kitchenette, a fridge, a double bed, a safe and a lounge area.The hotel also offers a freshwater swimming pool, a poolside snack bar, sun loungers, parasols and a massage service. Furthermore, it is possible to play tennis (approximately 100 m away), billiards, snooker and golf (about 500 m away).In the two bedroom bungalow the second bedroom has bunkbeds and there is no wardrobe.

“ Not bad for the price and an added bonus of having a poolside bar that served drinks and food. Only a couple of issues was that the lock was broke on the door but they had fixed a flexible wood bar to keep the door shut. Pool wasn't the cleanest and had a greasy film on the surface and the male receptionist was quite rude and pretended he couldn't understand English after we asked to change rooms for a one we could lock the door or to waive the €40 charge on the room safe (yes €40 charge for a room safe) after he seemed to perfectly understand us when we checked in
“ Top Tip: Quite a way from the beach but close to Yumbo and Kasbar also a supermarket on one corner and restaurant on the other corner

well what can you about these bugalows.
apart from there not bungalows there duplox.
the cleaning left alot to be desired. stayed there for 2 weeks saw the 1 and only cleaner for the site about 4 times, got new towels and bedding twice.
if your looking for a cheap no frills accommadaton these will do.
the only plus point of the marbella golf was the lady (yolande), who ran the pool side bar. she was great. made you feel welcome. not like the receptionist who couldn`t really speak english and tried conning us with the cost of the safe then tried conning us when we was leaving with keeping the room on we paid in the morning. on leaving he tried to charge us again..
hopefully when yolande takews over the complex in december she will change it for the better. because this complex could be really good.

I have stayed at the Marbella Golf Bungalows on numerous occasions over the last 5 yrs and have found the staff to be very pleasant and most helpful.
One thing I would point out to people staying at the Marbella Golf Bungalows is they are NOT bungalows and are in fact Duplexs.
Besides the manager and I must point out he speaks very good english the rest of the staff speak no english at all, there again very few people who work in hotels in England speak spanish, however this has never been a problem as you can always point to something or show the cleaners what you want and I have found this works most of the time.
If you have booked on the internet and taken the cheapest option for your accommodation ,please be aware this will not include cleaning of your rooms.
The bar is now owned by a lady and I have to say she is very helpful indeed and speaks fluent spanish, having spoken to others on the complex the drinks and food are very reasonably priced and hers tapas are brilliant.
One thing I would say to anyone staying at the Marbella Golf Bungalows, remember you are paying youth hostel prices and that way you won't be disappointed.
“ Top Tip: There are 3 very big supermarkets in san fernando this is a 20 min walk from the complex and a € 3 taxi ride back when you have loaded up with all the heavy item, other than that there is a spar just on the left as you leave at the top on the main road and you will find every day essentials such as bread,milk and water are not much more than in the big supermarkets.
