The apartments are built into the hillside and designed so that every apartment has a breathtaking view over both the marina and the ocean. Just 6 minutes to the nearest shopping centre and a 10 - 15 minute stroll to the beach.
35 minutes drive from the airport.

“ The first impression of the appartment was that it was quite large but very basic. There was virtually no bedroom furniture just a slatted type seat and a fitted wardrobe with no drawers. The main kitchen/dining area was also very basic with no cupboard for the brush, mop & bucket etc which just stood in a corner. There was an old fold down bed which doubled as a settee an old TV & small table. The kitchen was fairly well equipped with fridge, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, utensils and a 2 ring cooker. None of the dishes matched although they served there purpose. We noted from litrature left in the appartment that the place will be given a facelift this summer and I must say I think it needs it. The cleaners start at 07:00 and you can hear there trollies and doors banging so you will be wakened bright and early wheather you like it or not. The unlit 150+ steps up to the appartments from the local shopping centre and marina etc. make the place only suitable for relatively fit people or taxis are an option as there is no local buses available.

Some nice resturaunts in the local centre which is only about 120m from the appartments (down and back up the 150 unlit steps)
Nice pool area with great view over the marina.

Just come back from a lovely stay at Ipanema Park Apartments, this is a basic but very clean and tidy place with friendly and helpful staff.
The pool is great but a bit cold unless the sun has been on it.
The Bar is a nice and friendly place with reasonably priced food (BBQ night is amazing).
The island as a whole is quite expensive but the food seemed good all over and the supermarkets were ok price for most things.
As many people mentioned before there are a lot of steps going to the main port and beach but it's good exercise if you don't mind it or the Taxi's are cheap anyway :-)
Sadly the Aqua park in Puerto Rico was closed and has been for years though this is not advertised anywhere but the other Aqua land isn't too far by bus.
All in all a great holiday and i would stay there again :-)

The apartments were above our expectation for 2*. They were clean and spacious and were cleaned on a very regular basis.
The bar and restaurant were excellent - my daughter-in-law has a wheat allergy and the chef prepared meals for her that were gluten free. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff at the resort. They were friendly and went out of their way to chat with us and helped us when we asked for alternate restaurants in the resort.
The pool was lovely and the pool area was very clean.
We had rooms with terraces that looked out over the harbour and it was lovely after a 'hard day' lying by the pool to sit and relax on the terrace and watch the sunset.
I know that Ipanema Park is being renovated and reopened under a different name, but my family and I will be very happy to return!!
