Hotel Description:
The Servatur Montebello Apartments are part of a large complex just a few hundred metres from the popular family resort of Puerto Rico. The apartments are basic but well maintained and the resorts beaches and activities are all within easy reach. The Apartments are set just 600 metres from the centre of Gran Canarias most popular family resort. The sandy, child friendly beach is 700 metres away and there are activities, bars, restaurants and shops close by. There are also two public lidos surrounded by lush gardens for those wanting a break from the beach.
FACILITIES:There is an outdoor swimming pool surrounded by a large sun terrace, a restaurant, pool snack bar, lounge bar, 24 hour reception, internet access, supermarket, money exchange and a laundry room (certain activities may be payable locally).
Room Facilities:
Studio apartments have 2 beds and the one bedroom apartments have 2 or 3 beds. All guest rooms have a balcony or terrace, bathroom with shower & wc, a pay TV, telephone and a well equipped kitchen.

We went as a couple for a cheap break and it lived up to expectations. Had a really enoyable holiday with some positives, and some negatives but as always had a great time
Positives:- Huge balcony,good sized rooms, nice and clean with a lack of cockroaches when we were there (always welcome), friendly pool side staff.
Negatives:- Arrived in a heat wave and the lack of air con was definitely evident, tired decor in need of a refresh, and also the noise from the resort centre (despite it being quiet season with many of the clubs being shut) was too much to bare and we had many a sleepless night.

Top Tip:
Amadores Beach is a must for it's beach - the nicest in Gran Canaria.
Head up the hill at night to the Europa Centre as there's some nice restaurants up there.
Taj Indian Palace at the Marina is lovely, Rhodos Palace (Greek) at the harbour is also excellent and the staff are so nice

“ The Montebello is a good basic place to stay in Puerto Rico. Not for the faint hearted with all the steps up to it, but taxis are very cheap.Stayed for a week from May 12th.Very clean basic rooms. Nice pool area with small pool. All you need for a cheap week in the sun.Make sure you hire a fan , oh and use the lifts.
“ Top Tip: Tiffany`s bar in the bottom centre is great for the fellas to watch sport and at 1euro 50cents a pint its cheap. Meanwhile the ladies can get plenty of sun on the terrace. Look for Harbour Lights Bar at the harbour. Great food and views.

“ definately well above 2 star rating. friendly and helpful staff. good location. very clean. been to puerto rico many times, would stay there again. 1 negative, the price to hire a safe.
“ Top Tip: oscars, the best restaurant on gran canaria. tiffanys, cheap beer, good atmosphere, the D.J. will make the kids smile
