rooms basic but adequate; pool area and adult only sun bathing area with jacuzzis are great; the food is horrendous; we were served carrots and sprouts with our bacon under cooked fried eggs and cold varieties of scrambled eggs; every meal was cold there was a micro wave to warm food ;dont think it worked ;restaurant opened at 7 i served myself with soup at 7.03 i checked time sad but had to prove point it was flat cold; couldnt even make a decent salad as they only had salads and cold meats for breakfast; nothing on display to tell you what the dishes were you couldnt always tell what it was just by looking; we were all inclusive; we were there 7 nights and we ate out 5 of them the pool snacks werent any better; entertainment is typical hotel style you wouldnt pay to see most of the acts but it was bearable the real let down for this hotel is the food would not go back; the resort puerta rico seems to be dying a slow death half a dozen people in odd bars all vying for your custom to the point of being annoying

Top Tip: nothing special anywhere that i would reccomend a visit to this resort

the hotel was lovely,a beautiful setting with stunning views, clean, modern, rooms very nice, lots of indoor seating areas with beautiful views, a lovely adult sun-bathing area with comfy sun beds & hot tubs, very nice & peaceful away from the children around the pool! swimming pool not really suitable for adults who wanted to swim...more for children playing in the pool.
the bar area was nice, comfy chairs & bar staff friendly...in fact ALL the staff very nice & polite.Food ok always plenty of variety & plenty to choose from, some days better than others but you always get that & we were all-inclusive so you expect the food to be a bit repetitive, but a good standard overall.
we felt the only thing letting the hotel down was the entertainment. in the day there weren't any games for adults e.g killer pool, darts, french bowls, tennis, table tennis,water-polo,quizzes.We chose the hotel because it advertised entertainment but sadly there wasnt any. In fact we wanted to play tennis & were told the balls had been lost & weren't going to be replaced for a week until the manager came back from his holiday,we were told we could buy some ourselves but we couldn't find any in the supermarket! Also the evening entertainment was a bit of a let down with the acts lasting approx 45 minutes! they often started 10 minutes late at 9.40pm & had ended by 10.20! Just when you were enjoying it!
also the resort could only be reached by 300 or so steep steps, not for the older people or families with young children!
Also guests should be warned about the time-share touts waiting to pounce on you outside the hotel & up the top of the hill!
but all in all the hotel offers good value for money & is in a beautiful setting.

Top Tip: the Barbacoa bar at the top of the hill has good shows & evening entertainment & has drink deals.gary the owner very funny & the drag queen trixi-lix hilarious!!!!!!
you must visit Mogan...a beautiful little resort, half an hour on the ferry, you could spend a day there as lots of water sports, pedalos, restaurants, boats etc.

The hotel was good, staff very helpful and friendly. The only comment I would make is that on arrival after travelling most of the day and a two and a half bus ride from the airport, we would have appreciated being shown to our room. We were given a map and instructions which involved 3 lifts which was very confusing when not knowing the layout of the hotel. We had to ask some guests who had had the same problem on their arrival but knew the way to the various floors who very kindly showed us to our room. We were told once we had got to the room their was food waiting for us in the restaurant. What the receptionist didnt tell us how to get back to reception when we did eventually find our room. I suggest if possible there is someone available to guide guests to each of the rooms or at least to the lift they require to reach the room.

Top Tip: We were told not to go to Europa Centre at the top as it was too quiet, and not much going on. We therefore went to the Shopping Centre and ended up in the same Irish Bar which was good entertainment.
