“ Our stay went very well. The facilities were very clean and the cleaners were particularly friendly. The flat is well maintained. The views are stunning. All our needs were met and we have absolutely no complaints to make. The only things we would pinpoint to the hotel managers are the fact that the 2 biggest swimming pools were not heated and it was too cold to be used by children. The paddling pool was really freezing and my son turned blue after splashing around 5 minutes. The use of solar panels would solve this issue easily in such a climate. The lift is at the end of its life cycle and we did not feel secure while using it.
“ Top Tip: all the restaurants around the hotel are really mediocre. The food is very bad quality. It feels like industrial, over-processed canteen food. However, there are amazing local restaurants offering traditional food outside the most touristic places. Guantanamo is a great place to go to. It is along the road on the way from Puerto Rico to Mogan and the food was gorgeous. For the real foodies there is also a great local restaurant in Pueblo de Mogan. A little restaurant at Playa de Bahia next to the surfing school was a highlight with seaviews and no tourists. One needs a car to access these places. I would avoid the restaurants in the Europa centre. If you are staying a while and have your own car, it could be worth going for a shopping trip to Las Palmas where there are a Lidl and a Carrefour. anything close to the hotel is overpriced and very samy.

“ Hotel reception area and public areas lovely. Room was sparce and uninviting. Bathroom needed lots doing, shower tiny and leaked, fittings all broken and full of ants. Single beds in all bedrooms, no bedding to double up. One bedroom had no door, just an opening into the room. Kitchen/living area very basic and very dirty. Cleaner came 5 of 7 days but never swept, just moped floors, all cupboard fronts and fridge door dirty from oily hands marks and drinking cups stained. NO AIRCON at all. On the plus side, Balcony was huge and great, hot water at all times, clean bedding and towels. All ok for a short stay, don't know about 2 weeks though. Staff on hand 24/7.. Far to many steps, our room was about 350m from main hotel and that was an uphill struggle without using the lift to go 4 floors down/up and 3 flights of steps. Views lovely and surrounding areas, NOT A PLACE FOR THE UNABLE PERSON....!!!!! VERY hilly and windy roads and uneven footpaths made up of tiles. High kerbs and busy roads with fast driving locals and taxis...
“ Top Tip: Amadores beach is best, and v. clean. Europa centre for food...Turbo bar for breakfast and best restaurant for food was Little Italy and The Tavern all found in the Europa Centre just 200 yards away. Puerto Rico good for shops, but Mogan is a must to visit, a beautiful town with a harbour and market, (on Fridays)..
