The one big downfall for this apartment block is the number of steps within the apartments and the number of stairs down to town. This would be difficult for families with pushchairs and young children and difficult for older people who need the stamina to tackle about 80/100 stairs to the shops and the beach. You can get taxis to and from town but we were looking to go cheap so didnt want the additional cost.
When we arrived at 20.30 there was no one to greet us just a note to stay what apartment we were in and that the key was in the door and we did not go to reception and no one came to see us in the whole week, which others also experienced. the man behind the bar was nice enough but the bar area is only open about 4 hours in the day as i presume its not in season and it was quiet. The apartments are not well equipped for self catering lacking utensils and a can opener. Kettles and toasters are for hire at about 13 euros each per week. All that said for us as a couple we managed well enought to cook a meal each day on the 2 rings. we sat and chilled in the sun around the pool and went to bed early. Which is all we needed. Dont let that put you off using the Solana but at least you know what you are going to, just somewhere to use as a clean base.

“ There are alot of steps up and down this hotel and then to the shopping centre (where all the restuarants and pubs are) so if your fit then there will be no probs otherwise you can take your time and enjoy the wonderful views or always jump in a taxi like we did alot of the time!!! Hotel Basic but clean and has everything you need for a holiday - Beds, Showers, Mirrors, Fridge, Hobs, Cupboards, Pots and Pans. Basic but good value for money :)

“ BROCK THE BAR OWNER WAS REALLY FRIENDLY BUT HIS BAR NEEDS A GOOD CLEAN.IT WOULD BE BETTER IF SOMEONE WAS AT RECEPTION 24HR AS SOME HOLIDAY MAKERS COME BACK VERY INTOXICATED AND WANT A SWIM IN THE POOL ALSO NO SAFTEY NOTICES AROUND THE POOL. ALSO HAVING TO PAY EXTRA FOR TOASTERS AND KETTLES WHICH SHOULD BE INCLUDED AS ITS SELF CATERING
