Excellent cuisine. Comfortable/clean beds.
Could do with more shelves in room for clothes.
Free Toiletries could be better quality. Only shampoo, shower gel, and soap provided. No electric sockets by the bed, but a couple in the room and bathroom Pool/Beach towels provided are big and thick. Hair-dryers in bathroom have a decent speed.
Room/bathroom smart and kept very clean.
The majority of rooms have a sea view - all rooms are in the front anyway, but a few are on the lower ground floor overlooking the gardens.
TV: could do with more TV channels in English. Many in German though! CNN and BBC World News in English. Other languages are Spanish (obviously!), and Italian.
Area by hotel is excellent for fresh air, swimming, walking - long/short walks along the lovely miles long waterside promenade. There is a shopping arcade just opposite the hotel containing many shops/restaurants/cafes/drinking venues, as well as a safe area for kids to jump around on the top floor (safety net all around). Hotel provides in-house entertainment daily.
There is no hair dresser, nor beauty salon which is surprising in this high quality hotel.
Hotel is generally quiet apart from when the evenings entertainment is on and then there is the sound of the waves breaking on the sandy beach.
Guests should be warned before they book - and definitely before they arrive - that there is a dress code in the hotel restaurant; no shorts/tee shirts/beach clothes like beach shawl. But smart casual is popular and acceptable.
No wearing of swimsuits in the reception area.
Excursions/car hire can be booked at the reception desk.
Wifi available in the main foyer + there they have 4 computer booths linked to the internet available for a small fee also in the main foyer.
For the nudists there is a discreet area for sunbathing on a different floor from the general/pool area.
Local roads/pavements are kept very clean.
This is my second visit to the area of San Augustin in Gran Canaria in 14 months; and I definitely plan to go back there again.

“ Top Tip: All restaurants we tried out of the hotel served decent tasty food- especially the Polish/International restaurant just opposite the hotels main entrance, and the Greek Restaurant on the floor above.
The lengthy promenade along the beach is well lit and safe during all hours of the day and night - I was happy and felt safe to walk there whether on my own or not, and whether it was sunny or freezing and windy!
It seems that the area attracts many of all ages, shapes and sizes, who wish to get fit/keep fit.

“ good quality 4 star, been in better, been in worse, very clean, great staff, pool is the best heated ive ever been in, food good, rooms good, the view from 95% of rooms is top class, sea & pool, if you like to talk to english do not go in this hotel, it did not bother me at all, had a good time

“ Excellent multi lingual staff generally always smiling. Mostly North European, Swedish, Norwegian, and Finnish, plus some German, but very few English during our stay in Jan/Feb. Nice Pool and surrounds, Garden rooms have no sea view on garden level but are quieter. Food is Buffet style and good variety and plenty.
