“ Views to die for - restaurant food a little limited - staff were friendly, although not as gushing as is the case down south in Tourist Land.

“ This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel - true the food is good but it is not the strongest aspect of staying here. At Breakfasts in particular during the quieter part of the week (Mon to thurs) you can be faced with overdone eggs which resemble rubber. However, there is always an alternative as it is a buffet so you can usually find something. What is good about this hotel is the quiet atmosphere during the week when you can get a sunbed at any time of the day and relax by the pool, take a sauna, jacuzzi or have a massage and be totally at peace with the surroundings which are beautiful. You can go off and investigate other parts of the island which are fabulous especially in the spring. There are so many wild flowers and great vistas to see and every room has a decent view of the surrounding mountains and on a clear day you can see right down to the beach. The rooms are fine and the fridge is a great asset to keep everything cool- it is empty when you get there so you can shop in the supermarkets on the way from the airport to the hotel to get your supplies and go from there. Half board is a great deal and allows you to have the whole day to do whatever you want. The hotel attracts walkers and bikers mainly and there are many German tourists who stay here. Not so many English, but that is no problem as everyone is very friendly. If you want entertainment look elsewhere as this is not the place for you- go down to Maspalomas or Playa des Ingles where it is far busier and plenty of action. Make sure you go over to the north of the island as the journey through is spectacular and well worth the effort.
“ Top Tip: Climb rock Nublo and see Tenerife from the top it is well worth the climb, but be careful coming down as it can be difficult with loose stones. Wear footwear that has a good grip.

“ Hotel can be recommended. The buffet dinner meant you could be as quick (unusual in Spain) or as slow as you like. The dishes on offer varied each day. Not much particularly Canarian though. Most other guests were German so expect to be assumed to be German as well, although some staff only had English or Spanish.
“ Top Tip: Some strenuous walking straight from the hotel. Activities on offer.
