“ The hotel is ideally situated within 15 minutes of the centre and most main attractions. Bus stop outside will take you to the Alhambra. Room basic but clean, breakfast good, well worth the money we paid. Would recommend it for a sight seeing holiday.

The hotel is a converted monastery with an active church, school and even lecture rooms attached to it. It is in the old town centre and the building itself is part of the town history. Good service and small but clean room.

“ lovely hotel. This was more modern in decor than I imagined it to be and very quiet.

Top Tip:
if getting the local bus from the big Granada station, this is the number 33. I was told to get off 2 stops after the library but it is actually the library stop you want and just walk across the river bridge to find the hotel in front of you.
The side streets off the main road back into the city have some lovely squares with good value restaurants in.
By queuing up at the Alhambra Palace from 7.45 we did manage to get in as they had lots of tickets available on the day contrary to the information their website leads you to believe.

“ Despite warnings about Granada's one way system we found it resonably easily and found free car parking on the road around the corner at the entrance to a large public car park. Helpful reception staff who spoke good English. Ground floor area around central courtyard had a lot of character with tiled walls. Room was clean and comfortable but would be a little small if staying for a longer time. Also, there wa a smell from the en suite which otherwise was of a high standard and clean. Unfortunately we were above a sunday night disco which started as we arrived but stopped before we returned from dinner. Dinner was good value and plentiful. Breakfast was buffet style and fine. Quiet location to the south of the river near parks and easy walk to the Cathedral and many other sites. Some way from the Alhambra.
“
Top Tip:
Be careful, I nearly got charged for breakfast having already paid on the internet.
The hotel helped by booking a guided tour of the Alhambra. Worth doing for a first trip.
