Parking was expensive at €16 per night. Rooms were on the small side and Room 231 was quite dark due to the window being north east facing.
Restaurant was in the basement and was more like a canteen. Acceptable for breakfast maybe but at dinner it did not entice one to stay any longer than was neccessary to eat.
“ Top Tip: Italian restaurant called 'Yesterday' just around the corner was comfortable and welcoming with good ambience, good food and not too expensive.

“ Saray Hotel was absolutely fine, if rather unexciting. Our room was very clean though not very big, with a nice bathroom. Our double bed consisted of two single beds on wheels, which slid apart continually even with the wheel brakes applied. We solved this by turning the divan bases horizontally to the matresses. Free wifi in the rooms and throughout the hotel, which worked perfectly. Swimming pool was very nice, with plenty of shade and plenty of sunny bits. The hotel is not far from the centre of Granada - a 15-minute walk to the main shopping street and to the old city - but a bit of a hike in the heat, especially if you just want to pop back for your afternoon siesta. There's a taxi rank on the roundabout down the street, which is just a couple of minutes walk away. There wasn't much around the hotel, so be prepared to walk or taxi around a lot.
“ Top Tip: If you don't go B&B, you needn't pay 11 Euros for the breakfast buffet - the bar serves coffee with a selection of pastries for about 3.45 Euros from 10am.

“ Hotel staff were not particularly helpful or friendly which I have never found before in Spain. Bedrooms recently renovated and were good. As hotel behind the Palacio De Congresso very much a business hotel, which meant no noise from adjoining rooms or communal areas. Pool area was winding down - bar closed - and officially closes Sept 15th.
“ Top Tip: 'Menu del dia' available widely is excellent value averaging 11.50 euros for 3 courses. Ensure you vist Alhambra & for great views of the Alhambra the Mirador de San Nicholas in the Albaicin.

Top Tip:
best tapas bar ever (from guardian)
Bodegas Espadafor
Espadafor's local fame doesn't stem from its beautiful 1910 Andalus-tiled interior swathed in posters of bullfights and fiestas, but from its mouth-watering roast ham - usually served as a primero (first) plate. The bar also boasts a fantastic selection of sherries, from the bone-dry fino to their syrup-thick Moscatel. Tapas are rustic, traditional and hearty - aside from the roast ham, a favourite is patatas a la pobre, (potatoes fried with onions and green peppers) topped with a quail's egg. Aspirations of healthy eating should be left outside the wrought-iron front door, as everything is drenched in local olive oil and accompanied by crusty bread with which to mop it all up.
· Calle Darro, just off Via Colon. Open 2 - 4pm and from 8pm - late

“ The hotel was about 10 minutes walk from the city centre and 45 minutes walk from the Alhambra. The hotel swimming pool was wonderful and all of the staff helpful. The hotel car park is not cheap but in Granada you have very little options.
“ Top Tip: When you order a drink in a bar you will get free tapas, although 1/2 a glass of wine is 3 euros!
