Portinatx is beautiful, the beach offers pedalos and a glass bottom boat trip. There is a dive school in the resort, it had closed for the season while we were there so can't comment on what it's like! There are a few bars and restaurants, we didn't eat out but did have a wander around to the next bay for a drink! Which was very nice, but quite expensive.
The hotel is spotless, the food is plentiful with something to please everyone, from full English breakfast, burgers at lunchtime we had tuna fish, sword fish, paella, there were steaks, chops, pizzas & pastas. I could go on and on!
There are loads of steps around, which weren't a problem for us ( they helped burn off the excess food consumption), they may be a problem if you had a buggy to manover around though. We didn't use the hotel pool, but the water park was fun. It has a bar there, and also ice creams/ lollies, which was fantastic for the kids.
The rooms were fine, beds comfy, shower hot and clean towels every day. There's a hairdryer in the bathroom. Our room had a tv, but we didn't have any need to even turn it on, so don't know what channels were on offer.
There was entertainment every night, we didn't get involved in it, but they sounded like they were having fun.
My only gripe would be a minority of holidayers took advantage of the 'free' bar and ended up showing themselves up. My kids went to the loo alone ( they're 8 & 10, so old enough to go alone), they rushed out frightened because a man was laying on the floor with his trousers down and throwing up everywhere, there was a similar scene in the ladies. We used our room toilet after that.
It's a shame that people carry on like that in a family hotel, it didn't spoil our holiday and wouldn't stop me going back, I just think it's a shame to get in such a state when there's kids running around. And some one else has to clear it up.
Sorry to write so much! I hope it's useful.

Top Tip: Visit the hippy Market at the front of the hotel on Sunday evening, and haggle!
Snorkel, we saw a sea cucumber, urchin and octopus.
Take some biscuits from breakfast and feed them to the fish ( they actually feed from your hand)
Enjoy!!!

Nice hotel, great location! Staff at bar were nice, as were cleaners. Good food and drink with a great selection and rooms were very nice and extremely clean. Hotel staff were very helpful. However, there are a lot of people at the hotel, and it often seems cramped and too small for the amount of people staying there. Children in the family also became unwell from a bug, and the hotel is not suited very well for our autistic child. However, the facilities, such as the water park and games, were good for entertaining the children in our family. However, we were a large family of 9, and often the hotel didn't seem suited for such a large family. Overall, a decent holiday, enjoyed by everyone.
