This family-run apartment hotel, situated in Es Cane, offers guests a total of 35 comfortable apartments and studios spread over 4 floors. The kitchens have been fully renovated in 2007. This establishment offers the only English-style pub in the area, with a welcoming atmosphere for all ages. Facilities on offer to guests include a lobby area, a hotel safe, a currency exchange facility, a lift, a cafe, a mini supermarket, a bar, a pub and a restaurant. There is a playground on hand for younger guests.These apartments are situated in the well-known tourist area of Es Cane, approximately 2 km from the famous Hippy Market at Punta Arabe. Guests will find the sandy beach as well as restaurants, bars, links to the public transport network and shopping venues in the direct vicinity of the hotel. It is around 25 km to Ibiza airport.The pleasant and comfortable apartments consist of a bedroom, a living room, a fully fitted bathroom and a kitchenette (fully refurbished in 2007), which comes with a fridge, a microwave, a kettle, and either a balcony or a terrace. An ironing set is also available as well as a safe.The hotel features 2 outdoor swimming pools with a children's paddling area, a poolside snack bar as well as sun loungers and parasols. At Cala Martina beach, situated approximately 300 m from the complex, guests will find a wide selection of water sports on offer. For an additional fee, guests may enjoy a game of billiards and there are sun loungers and parasols available for hire on the sandy beach.The Punta Arabe Hippy Market is open every Wednesday from April till October.

“ The apartment was lovely, spacious with a sea view (albeit through the gaps in all the other hotels). We arrived on Monday lunchtime and by Wednesday no one had been in to the apartment to change towels or anything, so I asked if we could please have clean towels and loo rolls - and that was all we got. I think we were supposed to clean the apartment ourselves with the broom and dustpan in the cupboard, but not the end of the world. What was horrible was the noise every night from the hotel across the road, bingo, moronic games and terrible singing, the only downfall of staying at El Cortijo. Es Cana is a lovely little place.

“ Most of the apartments in the block are quite spacious and had good sized kitchens. I think we were unlucky getting the only one that had a small kitchen, but other than that for how close the appartment was to everything it was fantastic.
“ Top Tip: At the beach the sun loungers were only £4 per day when we went, just sit down and wait for the guy to run over to collect the cash and give you a receipt and then lap up the rays.

“ Hotel rooms could do with some up dating but had the basics. Cleaning could have been better. Still had good holiday.
“ Top Tip: Coastal walks both ways beautiful. Local bus service good (bus stop 150 yards away) beach and ferries same sort of distant away.

“ very nice apartments although bathrooom in apartment 307 suffered from strong sewage smell - pity that apartment was not cleaned at all throughout the week, towels only changed once and no change of bedlinen

Really good accommodation considering it's a low cost, 1 star apartment. Staff are really friendly and the food in the Nags Head pub below is fantastic.
Only downside is that the towels and bedding aren't changed often enough. Towels changed every 3 days and the bedding every 7 days. There wasn't any cleaning service while we were there but you are left with a brush and shovel and a mop and bucket. Iron and ironing board was provided which was really good.
Even taking the negatives into account was still a really nice and spacious apartment, well worth the money and will definately go back again.
