Sol Bahia Apartments

“ Although very cheap, the Sol Bahia is an excellent block of self-catering apartments, in a great location. It's close enough to walk to the sunset strip and West end of San Antonio, yet far enough away to get some sleep and avoid the crowds.

The apartments are run by very friendly staff, who were happy to loan us an iron and ironing board, lock our cases away on our last day and to order us taxis.

The apartment itself was very large with a lliving room/kitchen, bathroom, seperate large bedroom and balcony. The kitchen had all the necessary utensils, a kettle (non-electric) and toaster.

I would definitely stay there if visiting Ibiza again and would recommend it to others. I think it's ideal for couples and small groups - I went with my wife.

“ Top Tip: Go watch the sunset at least once - I recommend walking around to the Cafe Mambo/Cafe Del Mar area. To save money, take some beers, wine or other drinks and sit on the rocky beach or the edge of the walkway rather than drinking in the bars.

David's Pizzeria and the Curry Club are good restaurants about a 10 min walk from the hotel.

“ Really really lovely hotel. Rooms are quite plain but just what you need really. Air con and other facilities spot on. Great location few paces to the beach. Amazing sunsets, lovely pool area. Great location for The Golden Buddha's bar and resturant to ate dinner overlooking the sea and sunset. Staff so helpful accomodating. We were in a big group and they sorted out lots of taxis for us, stored our baggage and put up with our noise. The bar men was so friendly and helpful and kept giving us lots of free shots and lots of advice. Food here is really good if you can't be bother to walk into town. You could stay by the pool area all day and night as very chilled. Very quiet area so its good to come back after hectic clubs and just chill in peace.
Would definately stay again and recommend to all friends.

“ Top Tip: Great place to watch sunset - turn right at front of hotel (rather then walking to beach area) and leads you to a path on the cliff edge, great place for watching sunset and diving into sea. Good fun.

Turn left out of front of hotel and few yards there is the Golden Buddhas - seem to be open all the time?!?!?!!? but great place to chill after club and pre club dinner and sunset as they have nice lounge sofas.

Tip for taxis - defo get the hotel to book them for you it is so much easier then walking into town and queuing for them. Taxi from the airport (and most of the largest clubs) to this hotelis about 30-34 euros, don't pay anymore than that. Also be aware illegal taxis although means you won't have to queue are actually more expensive ranging 40-45 euros min

Tip for clubbing - drinks in the clubs are so expensive 6 euros for a tiny bottle of water and 12 euros for a small bottle of beer so defo defo go to the really nice bars with amazing music on the sea front, drink lots then by 1pm you are ready to go to the club then you only have to buy 1 or 2 drinks in there. Saves a lot of money.

“ Staff are really friendly. Apartments are really spacious, clean and well maintained. The only downside I found, which didn't bother me but may do others- was that the pool is quite small and the main bedroom is a twin, not a double. But in terms of value and quality I was really happy with the place. A nice sandy beach is around 5-10mins walk away. It is also located near some of the nicer San Antonio bars, but also only a 10 or 15minute walk from the West End depending on whether you choose the scenic coastal route or the walk through the streets.

“ Top Tip: Try Sun Sea Bar around 500yards around the seafront from the hotel for a nice meal and nice drinks.
