This Hotel's reviews on various websites were on the whole very good. Although there were some young folks who had not enjoyed their stay, reading through their reviews I would say it was a pity they chose this Hotel because it wasn't a case that the hotel was wrong for them, they were unsuitable for the Hotel, making this point clear, leads me to the matter of the noise in the night, it is the young ones who are the culprits. The noise didn't bother us too much and we are ages 72 and 70, we live just off a main road at home, there's a lot of heavy traffic passes by us, so we are past hearing it now, it took us a few nights to get used to the noise in the night in the Anibal and we can't say it was noisy every night, we had quite a few quiet nights.
We were there for nine nights and enjoyed a reasonably peaceful holiday, sunbathing round the very pleasant, clean pool, everywhere in the Anibal was clean, these are very clean people, it was a 15-20 minute walk to the beach and one could catch a bus just round the corner from the hotel on the main road to San Antonio Bus Station to go wherever one chose.
We loved the family that run this Hotel, they would go out of their way to be helpful, kind and so friendly, we asked for eggs on toast for breakfast and no hesitation even though that was not on the menu, the evening meal too they would oblige within reason of course, to prepare whatever you wanted off the menu, even variation of the food and adding chips.
Tony was the "Boss Man" his wife was Marie (a very good cook, sunny side up eggs mmmm!), their son Oscar was an all round helper also very friendly. The night porter was very helpful, he made sure the young ones or anyone else who misbehaved, he put them in order or else ha ha, and so did Oscar, it was good for anyone who wanted a smooth trouble free holiday, it's alcohol that mostly kicks off problems
One last thing, it would be really nice to have more older folk go to the Anibal Hotel, it's the only thing we missed, some company of our own age group (pensioners or recycled teenagers heh heh). The young ones were in bed all day and to the night clubs all night, that's why it was so peaceful in the day, and in the evenings. Oh Tony and Marie did their utmost to keep us company, watching TV in Spanish as we are trying to learn the language we can hold some little conversation with them
Well folks if anyone can think of a way to get some more mature adults to get to the Anibal Hotel, Travel Republic are always there for us, lets see what happens
eh ??

That's all peoples, happy holidays !!

Top Tip: Just opposite the "Egg" in San Antonio is a place don't know the name but it sells San Miguel for 2 euro s per pint and serves delicious simple meals very reasonable prices

The hotel itself is very very clean, the rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels and beds made, personal belongings left untouched. The staff were friendly and helpful. After reading other reviews of this hotel i was a bit dubious about bumping into the night watchman. as it turns out, he was very nice. If you are polite with him, he is the same with you. San Antonio bay is a 5 minute walk from the hotel. I would definately return to this hotel and so would all of my 5 friends that i went there with. We were all very very happy with it.

Top Tip: Go to Cala Bassa for the day ..... its 8 euro for the boat over from one of the vendor huts in the harbour. The boats go every half hour from about 10:30 but the ones back are at 13:00, 16:00 and 18:00. It takes 20minutes. Cala Bassa is beautiful, white sandy beach and very very clear sea, fish swim around you and if you sit by the bar thats nearly on the beach, you have music whilst u sunbathe. Beautiful place!!!

The hotel is just off the main road, (there is a side path facing a spar supermarket) which made it a bit hard to find as we werent aware of this and had gotten the number 9 bus from the airport to save money rather than getting a transfer.

This is a great hotel for the price. Yes it's basic but it's clean and has a decent bar for drinks / snacks and a decent pool. You need to play by the rules though and be reasonably respectful and quiet early in the morning. It suits groups of lads / girls as it can be rowdy in the daytime. The hotel is within walking distance (20 mins) of the beach and the West End but far enough away so that it is quiet enough to sleep when you need to (not that you sleep much in Ibiza!)

Top Tip: While the food in the hotel is OK, the food in the surrounding area isn't all that great. Stick to simple stuff like toasties and pizzas or Burger King / KFC etc as you know what you're getting. If you need something decent then travel to Ibiza Town where it's a bit more civilized. The Orange Corner on the beach is a great place to sit and watch the world go by. It's reasonably priced and the staff are friendly. Pre-booking your nights out at clubs will be cheaper BUT once you're out there you won't always make them. We missed a couple of nights we paid for as we got way too hammered in the day (it was good though!!). It's best to pre-book a couple then just go with the flow for the rest of your stay.

To be honest me and my friends were the rowdiest ones there by a mile but the staff didn't really mind. It's only when you're a danger to your self or others that they have a stern but fair word with you.
