Parador de Cazorla

The hotel, which was renovated in 2006, offers a total of 34 rooms spread over 3 floors. The building revives the tradition of the typical Andalusian country house, and indeed this is the distinguishing feature of the exterior. The interior features a pleasant living room with a chimney, and is characterized by the natural daylight which pours in through the large windows. It comprises a lobby with 24-hour reception, a hotel safe, currency exchange facility and lift access.

A cafe, bar, restaurant and TV room all feature, as do room and laundry services. Parking facilities are available to guests arriving by car. Younger guests may take advantage of the playground.The hotel is located in the heart of the "Sierras de Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas" nature reserve, in the small town of Saucejo. It is 25 km from the town of Cazorla and just an hour by car from the cities of Ubeda and Baeza, both of which are recognised as World Heritage Sites.

The elevated position of the hotel offers unsurpassable panoramic views of the surrounding hillsides, which are covered with native pine trees. The atmosphere of tranquillity and the beautiful enclaves such as the "Caeada de las Fuentes", or the "Salto de Linarejos", make it a meeting point for lovers of nature. The river can be found about 8 km away and Parque Cinegetico is about an hour away by car. Arroyo Frio, with its range of bars and nightlife, is about a 20-minute drive away.

The nearest links to public transport and the bus station can be found in Cazorla, and the nearest train station is in Lineares-Baeza some 80 km away. The Sierra ski slopes are about 200 km away and Pantano Lake is about an hours drive away. The Guadalquivir River Information Centre is about a 90-minute drive away, while the Torre del Vinagre and the Borosa River Information Centre are both just 30 minutes away.All the rooms feature either twin or king-size beds and are decorated in a rural style. Guests can enjoy the wonderful scenery from their room windows or relax and enjoy the tranquillity and harmony.

The rooms come with an en suite bathroom, minibar, satellite TV, direct dial telephone, hairdryer, safe deposit box and a welcome package. Central heating is also included in the rooms.The swimming pool comes complete with sun loungers and offers impressive views of the nature reserve. Whilst taking a refreshing dip, guests can enjoy the beautiful natural surroundings, the stunning views and diverse wildlife, including deer, foxes and squirrels. A Jacuzzi and table tennis also feature.

It is also possible to go for walks or bike rides near to the hotel, as well as participate in horse riding or 4x4 excursions around the nature reserve. The nearest golf course is at Linares, located some 85 km away.The hotel is located some 25 km from the town. To get there simply enter the town and follow the ""carretera de la Sierra"" road to the nature reserve, passing through the towns of La Iruela (2 km from Cazorla) and Burunchel (8 km from Cazorla). From this point, continue along the same road. There are 2 crossroads; turn right at both (marked "Parador 8 km" and "Parador 5 km", respectively).
