“ Mine was a one-bedroom appartment, and was superb, and would be perfect for a couple. Living space was well arranged and well appointed, and did everything I wished of it. Cooking facilities were fine, and the appartment cleaned at least 3 times during my one-week stay. (I stayed over the Christmas period, which may have altered the cleaning schedule). My appartment was a ground-floor one, and had a lovely outside patio area for sunbathing and al fresco living. The one detractor was that the patio was situated adjacent to a public side-road, which is why I lowered the overall score somewhat. That said however the patio space was screened from the public area by a low wall and some very nice planted shrubs which provided an attractive back-drop. The side road also turned out to be very quiet too, and in the end was no problem at all.
Reception staff were very friendly and helpful, and helped to provide a very relaxed atmosphere overall. I had concerns about my late evening arrival, but although reception had closed my keys were posted in an envelope, and easily visible inside the complex, and access to my appartment was simple.
The small complex is situated on the sea front, and beach access only a couple of minutes away. It was also only a fifteen minute walk from the ferry terminal. The complex has a lovely roof-top pool and sunbathing area, affording superb views of the surrounding countryside.

“ Top Tip: Restaurante el Conde, just five minutes away to the right of the appartments has a superb menu, and provides outdoor seating with beautiful views of sunset over the beach.

“ Was ok for a few days but was a little on the noisy side due to the bedrooms facing into the courtyard and any one coming in had to go up the steps from the courtyard.

“ The place was great - it's exactly what you see on the internet. Very clean and well equipped. Friendly staff and very helpful. It's a great location in Valle Gran Rey - near the port and ferries if you're coming from San Sebastian by boat or buses if you choose the road. It's in the middle of Valle Gran Rey so it's easy to get everywhere. The small beach and 'sea pond' for children is just in front of the hotel. I was there out of the season so there weren't many guests. I practically had a swimming pool for myself. You do get to hear people in the other rooms but you will get that in every hotel. There's a lovely terrace where you can sunbathe, watch amazing sunsets or hundred of stars at night - the sky is amazing. You have an ocean in front of you and mountain view behind.

“ Top Tip: The hotel staff will give you lots of tips. The tourists are manily German so not many people speak English - have a Spanish dictionary ready - you never know when you'll need to practice your linguistic skills. If you're a vegetarian - watch out - even if you order a salad or vegetable soup you may be surprised with fish or meat pieces in there!
