Residencial El Llano Apartments

“ Quiet, Clean and the rooms are a good size but not quite as fab as the website pictures suggest. Downstairs rooms have patio and a small garden, upstairs have a balcony and view. Very nice pool area which is as good as the pictures. No kettle in the kitchen but there were 2 types of coffee maker. Local restaurants and shops very good and very close but the area was still quite quiet. We were very pleased with it.

“ Top Tip: Best restaurants: Habibis and Salsa but they all seemed good and were cheaper than UK for equivalent quality.

“ Fantastic place perfect for families. Impeccably clean, comfortable apartments, beautiful grounds and a great pool. A few minutes walk to restaurants and a black sand beach perfect for small kids. Really tranquil place and location, so younger people may get bored unless only looking to relax. Over 20c in December, so perfect winter getaway. Would have given a 10 if it wasn't for the hard beds!

“ Top Tip: Black sand 'baby beach' (basically a small lagoon a low tide) a few minutes round the corner as is a small SPAR supermarket and pharmacy for buying groceries and baby food, etc, so no need to bring much stuff from home. Plenty of superb child-friendly restaurants within walking distance. Try Hababi and El Pescador in Las Vueltas and the pizza / seafood places in La Playa further along the beach.

“ Marred only by the lack of cleaning (seemed only to be 2 cleaners for the complex) and the thin walls (particularly with babies in adjacent rooms) but a great location and comfortable hotel.

“ Top Tip: Superb fresh fish restaurants nearby - take your pick from at least half a dozen at good value.

“ Please note that it was a self catering apartment complex, not a hotel.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The room and facilities were to a good standard.
The room was cleaned, the beds changed and towels etc replaced every other day which we found unusual in supposedly 2* s/c accommodation
