“ This is a small and modest 4* hotel about 10 minutes by car from San Xavier airport. It is simple and functional but not luxurious. This was an extra holiday for us and for the price we paid,a great bargain. What we really liked about it was the location between the town centre and the beaches of the Mar Menor- about 10-15 minute walk in either direction. The standout feature for us was the terrace bar and adjacent small pool which give stunning views of both the Med and the Mar Menor. The breakfast buffet had a good selection,including our favourite brand of peach juice and the coffee was great and made for you individually. The drinks in the terrace bar were very cheap, Also the wine and drinks it the restaurant were very reasonable. We got a very good deal on half board but some nights we ate out as we like the restaurant experience over buffet dining,however the food at the hotel was actually pretty good,it is very Spanish but we love Spanish food anyway and there were different things on offer each night plus a small show cooking station. The buffet restaurant is a bit canteen-ish will no attempt to create an ambience but for the price it was fine. The hotel has a smart a la carte restaurant on the ground floor but sadly no one used it during our stay. There were a couple of minor gripes,on check-in there were only 6 coat hangers in our wardrobe.(for 2 people for 8 nights). it took 3 requests to get another 6 and by this time we had gone and purchased some plastic ones in the shop opposite. Also, even though we like a firm mattress the bed was very hard.Also the hotel has very few balcony rooms,most just have a Juliet style affair. I think you would have to book a superior room or suite to get a balcony and we were unable to upgrade as the hotel was full. Overall the hotel perhaps lacks the finesse one would expect in a 4* hotel but the staff were pleasant enough and for a budget option we would use it again.

“ Top Tip: Some nice restaurants we tried were,La Panocha , in Lo Pagan.(Great tapas and rice speciality dishes). Que Cruz in the town square of San Pedro (Fantastic menu del dia for 8 euros) and San Franciso,on the road into San Pedro from the hotel (on the left),really nice food and good service. Also La Taburillo on seafront at Lo Pagan for fresh fish and friendly people
