Guarapo Apartments

“ hotel was very clean and the 1 bedroom apartment was good with adequate facilities.
About 10 minutes walk to the main beach and restaurants.
Unfortunately the pool was being refurbished but we were advised about this by yourselves and were offered facilities of another pool.This did not affect our stay as we are not really pool people.

“ Top Tip: Lots of good restaurants.

“ Big trouble with cats in the grounds, some owned by the hotel but a lot of them strays. So we did not stay around the hotel pool because of them, which was a shame.
Lower apartements had cockroaches in them so had to move to a higher floor after been told that the cockroaches live there and there's nothing wrong with them, not the answer i wanted to hear. The apartement I moved into was much better, so make sure you always ask for high floor. We did request this but only got it after the complaint about the cockroaches.

“ Top Tip: Good takeaway pizza place at the bottom of the hill and nice meals at Villa Tolida also at the bottom of the hill.

“ we have stayed here a few times before and will be returning in october, what more can I say.

“ Guarapo Apartments were very dissapointing to us. The accomodation was very dated, there was drain smell coming from bathroom and we found several cockroaches in our room. There was no oven in the kitchen, just two hobs and the dishclothes were the size of a handkerchief. Reception was more shut than open and no one to greet us when we arrived. Its the only place we have stayed where we were charged 10e to watch the TV - and basically all you got was the CNN and Sky news. On one occasion the bins round the apartments had not been been emptied for three days despite them being full.The female receptionist when was more interested in the computer than her guests, rarely lifting her head during discussions with her. On our departure we got a "bye" from her, she was apparently not interested in our stay had been!This is a lovely little complex near to the promenade and could be a great place to stay - its needs modernisation and staff who really care about their guests.
