Luabay Lanzarote Beach Hotel

“ Spent a week with friends at the Luabay in May 2012. We had a sea view room which was superb, the staff are wonderful and cant do enough for you. The evening meals are of a poor standard we only ate there once not an experience to be repeated. On entry to the dinning room you are assaulted by a terrible smell which certainly puts you off your food, the dinning room its self is soul less and depressing however it is clean . Breakfasts are ok not the best but adequate. As long as you eat out in the evening the hotel is fine for the money.

“ The food was extremely poor, mainly catered for other Countries. Kids club throughout the day was good however only lasted for 15 minutes each evening. The hotel was clean and the staff superb however i would not return to the hotel based on the food.

“ This hotel is one of the best hotels I have stayed at. The pool is lovely and loads of sunbeds, never any problem getting one. Food is the usual all inclusive food, for those people that have rated the food as low they obviously don't go all inclusive very often as all the food is free so its never going to be michelin star but if you can't find something you like then you must be very fussy. I had pancakes and syrup every day for breakfast! Entertainment again was not brilliant but free drinks makes up for this. The rooms are fantastic, modern, very big and best shower I have ever had when on holiday, powerful and hot water. Room also has a kitchen area which is an added bonus, includes microwave, fridge and kettle (only 2 glasses though..no plates or cutlery, I'm sure if you asked though they would provide it). Flat screen TV, which if you select the language button on remote you can change certain channels to English. All staff were very friendly and as I was travelling alone this was re-assuring. Wi-fi was 3 euros for 30 mins in reception or they give you code for same price. All in all I had a great holiday and would definately return to this hotel.

“ Top Tip: When I was there it was extremely windy which although temp was 23 degrees I was cold sunbathing around the pool. Found that if it is windy, if you go down to the beach and sunbathe at the back infront of the stone wall you are completely shaded from wind and can sunbathe in the warmth.

“ been to this hotel when it was called purto taichi its has been under referbishment for about 3 years the company luabay have done a wonderfull job. the staff where very good and helpful and there was a good choice of food for everyone.I would recommend to anyone.

“ Top Tip: plenty of bars and restarants just outside the complex over looking the beach.The hotel also had entertaiment on everynight.
