“ Ideal location. Friendly staff. Well kept gardens. Rooms are well equipped and clean but are perhaps in need of a little facelift. The hotel is actually undergoing a programme of refurbishing the rooms with minimal disruption to clients. We have stayed here four or five times now and intend to return in June.

“
We have been going to Lanzarote for almost 20 years and in that time have experienced staying at several accommodations and have stayed at the Oasis Lanz on 7 previous occasions But NEVER again.
On arrival we was requested to leave a 100 euro bond!! with no pre - warning we did not have 100 euros in cash at this point.
we was asked to leave our debit card details for them to obtain the 100 euros. They said it was in case we damaged anything in the room. Baring in mind that I was travelling with just my husband, we are both in our 50's and have mobility problems I would of thought it highly unlikely that we where going to trash the room......
Asking for the bond became even more insulting when we entered our room....It was a room in need of much attention. the fixtures and fittings where in such poor state of repair they where not worth 100 euros. The mould on the walls was very uninviting as was the smell of the room a horrible aroma of stale smoke and damp.
Our beds where broken and had torn covers on them. Under the bed was a magazine that was 4 months old!!
The TV was a very old fashioned one and despite not really having any British channels if you did want to watch you had to pay extra but be warned those that do we overheard one customer complain that he had paid for 24 hours and the time was not up but the TV had gone off and the receptionist said that was because it goes off at 10 am and comes back on at 2pm when the cleaners have gone.....What cleaners??. The TV does have a porn channel so beware...
The "cleaner" did come to the room twice in the week to shake the bedding and that was all that she did. We had no bedding or towel change at all in the week. We where provided with a brush mop and bucket but no cleaning solutions and as I was on holiday I had no intention of cleaning the room for them and leaving it better than when I arrived.
The cockroaches only came out at night, the toilet either would not flush or once flushed would not stop running so we had to remove the cistern lid to flush the chain.
Despite asking for a room suitable for a person with mobility problems our room had a bath that I could not get into but our room was on the ground floor.
The family of spiders had plenty to eat.
We had paid for H/B, when we went to the dining room we was informed that we was the only couple on H/B and was the "uniform" as a trial.
the breakfast was the same every morning. You had to serve yourself and you had the choice of Fried egg, bacon, sausage, beans and toast.
Our evening meal? well what can I say.
Thursday....chicken Curry or spag bol
Friday.........BBQ
Sat............Lasagne
Sun...........Tapas
Mon..........Fish and chips or Irish Stew
Tuesday....lasagne or a chicken wrap (which was a bread basket filled with chicken curry
Wed ........Fish and chips
No other choices where given and on only two nights where we offered a sweet and once got offered a starter.
we declined Thursdays, Mondays,Tuesdays and Wed menu and ate out leaving us out of pocket on our H/B. I also wished I had eaten out on Sun because although the Tapas should of been excellent the prawns I was served where very doubtful
prawns.
We where visited by a representative of the Holiday club which are apparently the new owners with a view of him making us members of the Holiday club or in old fashion terms he was trying to sell us "time share".
I showed him around the room we was in and he used it as part of his sales pitch saying we had an un-refurbished room because the refurbished rooms where for the club members so booking with a travel company we would only be offered a room of this standard. Despite our valid complaints we where not offered a change of room.
The grounds however have been upgraded to an high standard and the pool is very nice. The location is perfect
All the surrounding bars and hotels offer free Wi-Fi and do not mind giving you their pass word but unfortunately I only found this out after I had paid 20 euros for their pass word and internet access.
Also the safe is in such a position that unless you have a very intelligent two year old with you you can not get in it. it is on the floor of the wardrobe right at the back with the wardrobe door blocking it and it is so small anything bigger than a very small handbag will not fit in it.
Breakfast was always entertaining. Every morning a Rep from the Holiday club would be treating a couple to breakfast whilst he was trying to encourage them to become club members. I was so tempted every time I heard him say now lets go and look at a typical room to offer him my keys and say'show them around my room it's the closest to here' the look on his face I am sure would of been priceless
“
Top Tip:
My top tip would be to request a re-furbished room or go somewhere else.
lots of nice restaurants all around Costa Teguise. The Friday Market on pueblo marinero is always good and the Artisan market on Wed evening is full of unusual objects to buy and some very talented people.

“ Top Tip: Hammy's Bar/Restaurant overlooking the beach is a great place to eat at lunchtime or in the evening. It's a small family run bar, very clean and pleasant atmosphere.

“ Top Tip: In the centre of the resort and 5 mins to the beach this is the ideal location... had some great food and highly reccommend Inn on the square for brekkie, Italian Davinia for a nice evening meal...and Flintstones on the beach front for the best Fish and homemade chips

“ Excellent position close to everything. Apartments a bit tired but clean and comfortable. Nice bar but nobody in it in the evenings, not sure why as there were plenty of people in the complex. Disappointed that if you wanted the television or wi-fi you had to pay. On the whole good value for money
