The hotel was built in 1987 and renovated in the year 2000. It comprises 314 double rooms and 2 suites spread over 6 floors and is surrounded by beautiful gardens. Amongst the hotel's modern facilities count a foyer with 24-hour reception, a safe, a currency exchange desk, lifts, a newspaper stand, various shops, a hairdresser's salon, a nightclub, a games room, a TV room, conference rooms, a bicycle cellar, a car park, a kids' club for those aged from 4 to 11 years of age and a playground. Dining options include a cafe, various bars and restaurant . Further facilities include Internet access, room and laundry services as well as medical assistance.This fully air conditioned beach hotel is situated on the Costa Tequise just 20 m from the nearest beach. There are scores of shops, restaurants and bars to be found in the hotel's immediate vicinityThe tasteful, comfortable rooms come with an en suite bathroom with shower and hairdryer, a direct dial telephone, satellite/ cable TV, a radio, a hi-fi stereo system and Internet access. In addition, all are fitted with air conditioning, a hire safe and a balcony or terrace with views out over the sea or the pool.The hotel offers guests use of an indoor swimming pool, 2 saltwater pools, one of which is heated, a children's pool, a pool bar, a sun terrace with sun loungers, parasols, cushions and bath towels (for an additional fee), a Jacuzzi, sauna and steam bath for which additional fees apply as well as a massage service and the possibility to try out water aerobics, ping, table tennis, do aerobics, archery, billiards/ snooker, boccie and minigolf. The hotel offers a gym, a hard and an artificial grass tennis court. A seasonal entertainment programme is put on for all and there is a disco for children. The nearest golf course is 2 km away.

More eletric sockets in rooms would be useful for telephone chargers, mosquito plug ins, hair straightners etc.
Also more parasols would be good - just not enough

“ Hotel is adequate but I wouldn't rate as a 4* the rooms were clean but basic the views amazing.... Bar staff great especially Andres.. Queuing for drinks as people previously said not a problem. I do not class this as a proper all inclusive I have been to many and the goods ones are usually 24hours.. Only 1 bar at a time you can get a drink. Pool area not capable of seating or adequate for the amount of guests in hotel and I wasn't there in high season.. Nowhere nearly enough sun shade and if you are not up before 7am no chance of bed with shade.. Food ok bit samey but it's massed produced always something to eat.. Great location and lovely bay
“ Top Tip: Do not bother with all inclusive plenty of places nearby and reasonable to eat and drink

“ I had a brilliant time at the Playa Teguise. It was fantastic value. The room was spacious and clean and the balcony private with a lovely view. Food was delicious and staff friendly. The corridors needed decorated but that was a minor thing which did not detract from the enjoyment of the holiday. The coffee in the bar at night was horrible but coffee at breakfast was lovely. I would def go back.

Just got home from a fantastic holiday. The hotel staff where probably the friendliest i have ever found. I did read some very negative comments on this hotel before i went, and for the life of me i cant figure out why anyone would be negative about the grand. Yes in places does need a paint job and new carpets, and yes they could do with new and more sun brollies by the pool, but apart from that i think this hotel offers excellent facilities for most people's needs. The food was very good and varied although no steak or prawns. The beach was thru a locked door, so only people at the hotel could get in and out off the complex using there room key. As a single woman i felt extremely safe and secure on this complex, and like i said the staff where great, food was great, the pools where fantastic and the beach was superb.So all in all a grand holiday a the Grand.
Just 2 complaints really, which is down to the owners of the Grand not the staff. As i wasn't all inclusive just half board, i was leaving at 4pm, I wasn't allowed to have lunch, which i think was a little mean. Also there was an extra charge of 16euros per day if you wanted the top floor, which again not many hotels put a charge on for different floors.
But all in all a fab hol
