“ Just got back from a 5 night break. Hotel was great - staff really friendly and helpful. All inclusive food was of a very high standard and freshly cooked with plenty of choice.

Only fault we found was their towels in the room were old and could do with replacing.

“ We stayed at Club Playa Blanca on Sunday 8th April and stayed for one week. The hotel was ok, nowhere near the 4 star rating it has. The bungalows were quite basic, but were kept clean. The walls are paper thin though and you could hear the neighbours conversations quite clearly. The pool area was nice, but to make sure you got beds together you have to put your towels out early (even though they say this not permitted). The pool was very cold!! The food was probably the worst thing about the holiday - a lot of the dishes were luke-warm. The variety was not great. The best part of the food was the fresh bread (at every meal) and the lunchtime salads. You could also have the recycled veggies from last nights dinner at breakfast time! The cereal at breakfast was stale, and they rarely had any jam out. The local alcoholic drinks are watered down, and if you want a decent branded alcoholic drink you have to pay. The all-inclusive facility only runs from 8am - 11pm, so if you are still up after this time you have to pay for drinks. The pool bar area was nice (although not always staffed), the constant ice-cream was a hit with the children. The staff were always pleasant and helpful. Although you had to pay for bottled water and on one evening they had run out, and couldn't give us any change for the vending machines. The children's club facilities at hotel are below average, the daytime mini-club mainly involves colouring and the children can easily get out of the area unsupervised. Also if you wish for them to do any additional activities (ie. t-shirt painting), there are additional costs. There are a few games for the older children to play (Darts/Football/Ping Pong/Air Hockey), but very little else. The mini-disco in the evening was loved by our kids (although it was the same songs every night) and the Animacion Team where very nice and friendly. There is no mini-market nearby. The hotel is located on a dual carriageway. It's a good 15 minutes walk into the town/sea front (but is definitely worth a visit), the beaches (Playa Dorada beach) are lovely with golden sand and lots of beds/parasols to hire. There are also plenty of restaurants/bars and shops if you wish to venture away from the hotel. We hired a car for a couple of days and visited another hotel in Costa Teguise (which was 3 star) - we found the food/drinks and resort facilities much better, it was also minutes from the beach and restaurants/bars.

“ Top Tip: Hire a car and visit other parts of the island. Definitely spend a few days at the beach.

“ really fantastic value for your money. We went AI and found it to be great. Staff were incredible and the mini club was just enough for our kids.
Will definately recommend this place.....oh and the sights were awesome!The volcanoes, the green lake and all the wonderful covey beaches...didnt want to leave!

“ Top Tip: Papagayo beach is a must...5 min drive away... shame we only discovered it on the last day :(
