The Balcon Del Mar Apartments are set on a hillside, in the older part of Puerto Del Carmen with outstanding views of the sea and mountains. This property is fantastic value for money.

“ hotel was maybe good, a few years ago, but it as been neglected, a complete renovation is needed on all apartments. you,ll find the hotel up a steep hill, so not good for people with walking difficultes.very relaxing around the pool area,nice bar that does snacks and nice cold beers.
“ Top Tip: restaurants at the harbour very good ,but expect to pay a bit more.

“ Firstly, the staff here were great! Very friendly reception and pool bar staff! Unfortunately, the hotel itself was poor. I realise you will get ants and cockroaches on holiday, but I've never experienced it to this extent. We were pretty much sleeping in a bed of ants and I got a bit bored of washing cockroaches down the shower plug. Hotel is in serious need of updating, but then again so is the whole of Puerto del Carmen. On an odd note though, I didn't see any other hotels in the area I would have rather stayed in. As I said, the whole resort needs a good going over not just this hotel.

“ very disappointed in this hotel. very shabby and in of a major overhaul, major ant problem in apartment. dark bathroom, and swimming pool dangerous for young children / non - swimmers. poolside bar a big let down also. would not return or recommend this hotel. staff very friendly and helpful

“ Hotel very tired,could really do with some investment.Avoid the roadside apartments if you are light sleeper,Buses sit with the engine running at hourly intervals while the drivers have a smoke and chew the fat.I approached a driver at 3am and asked if he could switch off the engine only to be informed that this was normal practice ?(to annoy holidaymakers ).

“ Have stayed here five times before and will go back again when the price is right. We paid 25 euro a night for our 11 night stay which we think is good value.The appartments are like most others we have stayed in basic and could do with a little tlc on the plus side they are spacious and clean and the maid service is very good the reception staff always very friendly and helpful.Beds quite comfortable pool area very good never had any problem getting sunbed or space.Generally nice quiet and peaceful place for a relaxing holiday. went to Lanzarote two and a half years ago and have now been back 12times it is addictive already booked again for three weeks in October this time staying in the Costa volcan down in the old town other places we have stayed in and found good are the Panorama La florida,Los pueblos and the Kon-Tiki club happy to stay in any of these places just go where the best value is at the time.
“ Top Tip: The Irish Harbour Bar on the corner right at the bottom of the hill has great music every night from 10pm till about 2am It only holds about 80 people but has three full time singers who are exceptional always at least 2 on every night fantastic very friendly bar

This complex of whitewashed bungalows is located in first line of the beach of Matagorda and it's surrounded by tropical gardens. All bunglows have 1 or 2 twin bedrooms, sitting room with sofa-bed, well equipped kitchen, full bathroom and a private terrace with a small garden. The complex amenities include 7 swimming pools, a buffet restaurant, 2 poolside snack-bars, 24 hours reception and free internet WiFi throughout the complex, among others. There is a shopping area and supermarket 50 meters away and the city center of Puerto del Carmen, the main tourist and leisure center of the island, is just 2 miles away (30-45 minutes walking along the sea promenade). There are two 18-holes golf courses, 6 km. and 15 km. away (designed by John Harris).
“ Good value for money, we have been many times so knew what to expect. The apartments are clean & have all your need. If you want to use the safe or tv you have to pay extra which we already knew.

The apartments are very well located for holidaymakers searching for an action packed holiday. The complex consists of 72 apartments on 4 floors built around a lovely pool and lounging area. La Florida has a snack bar, swimming pool and a reception area that offers money exchange and safety deposit boxes (payable locally). Conveniently located, in Puerto del Carmen, the Florida is the perfect spot for relaxing or taking off to the quaint old town of Puerto Del Carmen.
“ Staff do nothing to stop noisy or rowdy people from doing what they want at any time of day or night. You could stay at these apartments and have a great time if you have neighbours that dont drink and party loudly all night. You pay your money and take your chance. Thats the only reason why I would not stay here again.

The complex is composed of a main building and several bungalows with a total of 360 apartments. Guests are offered a beautiful large garden and pool area, a substantial lobby with a 24-hour reception. Furthermore, there is a games room, a TV room, a supermarket, a shop, a café, a pizzeria, a cosy bar and a restaurant. Further facilities include Internet access (for an added fee) as well as laundry services. In addition, there is a kids club and a children's playground available to keep children entertained.
“ The hotel was more than half empty and we did not see any other british people mostly spanish and german. It has lovely large pools empty mostly and a handful of people sat around it. The bungalows are spacious but dated,the fridge is handy.
