Balcon Del Mar Apartments

“ We have stayed at these apartments before and never had a problem but this time one of the rooms had 100 euro taken which shouldn't have been left there but it was and we had a flood in the other apartment which they did send a man to sort it out only thing was the day we were leaving sewage was coming back up through the bath and sink so lucky we were leaving and they shut the pool of out side the apartment we were in for three days so i think i will think twice about staying there again maybe it was just a one off i don't know ?

“ The apartments are large, well laid out, clean and well serviced. Two nice small pools and sun-bathing areas. Two supermarkets close by. Its location wont be to everyones liking as there is quite a steep hill down to the resturants, shops and beach. And of course, although not a great distance, a bit of a hike back up.

I holidayed at Balcon del Mar 8 years ago and it has been well maintained since. Its location is not a problem to me and I would definately return in the future.

“ hotel was maybe good, a few years ago, but it as been neglected, a complete renovation is needed on all apartments. you,ll find the hotel up a steep hill, so not good for people with walking difficultes.very relaxing around the pool area,nice bar that does snacks and nice cold beers.

“ Top Tip: restaurants at the harbour very good ,but expect to pay a bit more.

“ Firstly, the staff here were great! Very friendly reception and pool bar staff! Unfortunately, the hotel itself was poor. I realise you will get ants and cockroaches on holiday, but I've never experienced it to this extent. We were pretty much sleeping in a bed of ants and I got a bit bored of washing cockroaches down the shower plug. Hotel is in serious need of updating, but then again so is the whole of Puerto del Carmen. On an odd note though, I didn't see any other hotels in the area I would have rather stayed in. As I said, the whole resort needs a good going over not just this hotel.
