Europa Apartments

“ Basic, but adequate, apartment as expected and, above all, very clean. Very helpful reception staff.
The walk from the apartment to the port (where the majority of restaurants are located) is OK going down but a bit of a pull coming back if you are older. We hired a car for the week so this was not a problem since we drove down and parked in the large and free car park right by the restaurants.
We had apartment 10 on the ground floor right in front of the pool. Being older and wanting a quiet holiday this proved a problem for us since, naturally, people wanted to swim and sunbathe and we could not get away from this on our terrace. If you are older - get an apartment away from the pool or on the second floor.
A particular problem - not the fault of the apartments - was some of the guests. We even had the problem of one guest in the apartment directly above ours.
Overall, we did have a good holiday largely since we had a car and could get away. The apartment was fine for just sleeping in.
We are not likely to go to Lanzarote again since we never go to the same place twice but, if we did, there are better places to stay in Puerto del Carmen than the Europa apartments for much the same price.
Puerto del Carmen itself was lovely especially around the port area.

“ Top Tip: The bar/restaurant attached to the apartments is great for a quiet late night drink with very pleasant bar staff. We did not eat there so we cannot comment on this.
Just down the hill from the apartments is a shopping plaza with a supermarket and a few more shops. Also located there is 'Marios' restaurant. Everything - food, service, ambiance - is really good. The octopus in Canarian sauce is to die for and my fillet steak main was mouthwatering. But, be careful, the quantities served are enormous.
On a par in the main port area is the 'Mar' restaurant. Excellent cooking and a lovely view over the bay with mountains in the background.

“ The apartments were clean but basic. The maid service was'nt great only got one change of towels. Would't go with children the pool area is unsafe.

“ Basic but very clean apartments. Supermarket 2 minutes down the road for your basic essentials. Situated a steady 10 minute walk from the old town and a short taxi drive into the new town. Lovely views from our apartment (15). Would stay there again.
